The Pilgrim Baptist Church located at 732 Central Avenue West in Saint Paul in the U.S. state of Minnesota is the building that houses the first Black Baptist congregation in Saint Paul. The congregation was founded on November 15, 1866, by Reverend Robert Hickman and a group of escaped slaves from Boone County, Missouri. They were smuggled up the Mississippi River on the steamer War Eagle with the help of Union Soldiers and the Underground Railroad. The current building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was built in 1928.
The First Baptist Church is a historic church building in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The church was built in 1903 and was the first church building for the African-American population of Muskogee County. It was built in a Romanesque Revival style. It features two asymmetrical, crenelated towers and a steeply pitched gabled roof. The build is clad in two types of red brick. The two types of brick are separated by a rusticated limestone belt course. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 for architectural significance and for its importance in local African-American history.
Lee Wilder Thomas, known as Rev. L.W. Thomas, was a prominent African-American business and oil man. L.W. Thomas was among the lucky land owners in the Mexia, Texas, oil field. In the early 1930s, he partnered with Jake Simmons, Jr., another wealthy African-American oil broker. Together, these two men built Simmons Royalty Co., one of the leading African-American oil and mineral right royalty companies in the state of Oklahoma.

It is a suburban area of Baltimore that acquires significance from the collection of 18th, 19th, and early 20th century buildings. The park-like setting retains a late 19th-early 20th century atmosphere. At the turn of the 20th century, the Maryland Hunt Cup and the Grand National Maryland steeplechase races were run over various parts of the valley. The Maryland Hunt Cup, which began as a competition between the Green Spring Valley Hunt and the Elkridge Hunt, traditionally started at Brooklandwood, the previous home of Charles Carrol of Carrollton with the finish across Valley Road at Oakdene, at that time the home of Thomas Deford, which remains a private residence

It was built in 1877, and is a front-gable, two-bay frame building. The building measures 42 feet, 2 3/4 inches, wide and 64 feet, 4 1/2 inches deep. It rests on a brick pier foundation and it is believed that parts of the earlier building are incorporated into the current edifice.

Red Banks Primitive Baptist Church is a historic Primitive Baptist church located between Meeting House Branch and E. Firetower Road in Greenville, Pitt County, North Carolina. The original church building was set on fire on December 30, 1863, by Union forces under the command of Col. Joseph M. McChesney. It was rebuilt in 1893 and is a one-story, frame, gable front, rectangular, building measuring approximately 50 feet by 30 feet. It is two bays wide and five bays deep and sits on a brick pier foundation. Located on the property is the contributing church cemetery with less than 20 markers.
