The Statute Law Revision Act 1888 (51 & 52 Vict c 3) is an act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, a Statute Law Revision Act repealing all or part of various earlier acts of Parliament.
The act included a Schedule in three Parts listing earlier acts of Parliament:
Parts I and II of the Schedule were repealed by the Statute Law Revision Act 1908. [3]
No order was made under the 1888 act which would have repealed the Schedule Part III statutes; instead they were all repealed in the UK by the Administration of Justice (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1938, which abolished all outlawry proceedings. [4] [5]
The rest of the act was repealed in the UK by the Statute Law (Repeals) Act 1989, [6] but retained in the Republic of Ireland by the Statute Law Revision Act 2007. [7]
The Statute Law (Repeals) Act 1998 is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It provided reform to the statute law in the areas of administration of justice, ecclesiastical law, education, finance, Hereford and Worcester, Inclosure Acts, Scottish Local Acts, Slave Trade Acts, as well as other miscellaneous items.
Statute Law Revision Act is a stock short title which was formerly used in the United Kingdom, and is still used in Australia, Canada and in the Republic of Ireland, for legislation whose purpose is statute law revision. Such Acts normally repealed legislation which was either obsolete in the sense of being no longer relevant, or spent in the sense of having ceased to be in force otherwise than by virtue of formal repeal. In the United Kingdom, the short title Statute Law (Repeals) Act is now used instead. "Statute Law Revision Acts" may collectively refer to enactments with this short title.

The Statute of Praemunire was an Act of the Parliament of England enacted in 1392, during the reign of Richard II. Its intention was to limit the powers of the papacy in England, by making it illegal to appeal an English court case to the pope if the king objected, or for anyone to act in a way that recognized papal authority over the authority of the king. This was later reaffirmed by the Statute in Restraint of Appeals in the reign of Henry VIII and was used to remove Thomas Wolsey from power. The word praemunire originally referred to the writ of summons issued against a person accused under this and similar statutes, and later came to mean offences against the statutes.
