Thunder Bay is a city in and the seat of Thunder Bay District, Ontario, Canada. It is the most populous municipality in Northwestern Ontario and the second most populous municipality in Northern Ontario; its population is 108,843 according to the 2021 Canadian Census. Located on Lake Superior, the census metropolitan area of Thunder Bay has a population of 123,258 and consists of the city of Thunder Bay, the municipalities of Oliver Paipoonge and Neebing, the townships of Shuniah, Conmee, O'Connor, and Gillies, and the Fort William First Nation.
Port Arthur was a city in Northern Ontario, Canada, located on Lake Superior. In January 1970, it amalgamated with Fort William and the townships of Neebing and McIntyre to form the city of Thunder Bay.

Rockglen is a town in the Burning Hills of the Wood Mountain Uplands, in Saskatchewan, Canada. It offers various amenities including a school, community hall, public library and five parks, as well a local service industry. The municipal office of the Rural Municipality of Poplar Valley No. 12 lies within the boundaries of Rockglen, and Rockglen businesses are supported primarily by agriculture. In the Burning Hills agriculture consists of dry land farming and cattle. Rockglen is located along Highway 2 south of Assiniboia, Highway 18 west of Coronach, and Highways 2 and 18 north of Port Poplar River. Fife Lake is 9.3 kilometres (5.8 mi) to the east.
Kelowna Pacific Railway was a short-line railroad, formerly a Canadian National Railway line, leased by Knighthawk Rail. The KPR's line ran from Kelowna to Kamloops through the Okanagan Valley. Operations started on January 30, 2000, and ended on July 5, 2013, when the company entered receivership.

The Hundred of Hoo Railway is a railway line in Kent, England, following the North Kent Line from Gravesend before diverging at Hoo Junction near Shorne Marshes and continuing in an easterly direction across the Hoo Peninsula, passing near the villages of Cooling, High Halstow, Cliffe and Stoke before reaching the Isle of Grain and the container port on its eastern tip, Thamesport. There used to be a short branch line leading from Stoke Junction to the coastal town of Allhallows but this closed from 4 December 1961, the same date on which the Hundred of Hoo line was closed to passenger services.
The Carlton Trail Railway is a shortline railway with its headquarters in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. It is operated by OmniTRAX, an American transportation company in Denver, Colorado. Carlton Trail has been operating on ex-Canadian National track since December 8, 1997; however, after the acquisition of the branch line CTRW also purchased from CN the Birch Hills-Fenton-Prince Albert branch line in 2001. Since the closure of the pulp mill in 2006, Carlton Trail has typically adhered to a schedule of twice weekly rail service, hauling approximately 2000 carloads per year. According to OmniTrax president Darcy Brede, when the mill reopens in 2014, the railway will begin six days a week service, hauling approximately 3000 carloads a year.
Orange railway station is a heritage-listed former railway bridge and now railway station located on the Main Western line on Peisley Street, Orange in the City of Orange local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was built from 1877 to 1950. It is also known as Orange Railway Station and yard group. The property was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.
The Great Sandhills Railway is a Canadian short line railway company that operates 198 kilometres (123 mi) of track west of Swift Current, Saskatchewan in the provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Stewart Southern Railway is a short line railway located in the South East region of Saskatchewan, with its headquarters located in the community of Fillmore. The line runs between Regina and Stoughton on the former Canadian Pacific line known as the Tyvan Subdivision. The Tyvan Sub parallels Saskatchewan Highway 33 for most of its length. The railway handles commodities such as peas, lentils, and potash with Seaboard being the primary Customer.
Forty Mile Rail is a short line railway located in Southern Alberta running on the former CP Stirling Subdivision, with its headquarters located in the community of Foremost, Alberta. The rail came to Foremost originally in 1913 and was brought back into working order in 2016. There is track running from Foremost, west to Stirling, Alberta with a couple private elevators remaining on the line. The existing track was rehabilitated prior to 2000 and the last year there was any movement on the line was in 2006 – the last year it was operational until taken over from CP. On 21 September 2016, Forty Mile Rail took delivery of their first locomotive, EMD GP9 JLCX #4004, being leased from J&L Consulting.
