The 2022 Missouri House of Representatives election took place on November 8, 2022, as part of the biennial 2022 United States elections. All 163 seats in the Missouri House of Representatives were up for election. Primary elections took place on August 2, 2022. [1]
Democrats gained three seats, decreasing the Republican supermajority to 111 out of 163 seats, and giving Democrats their largest share of house seats since 2012, with 52. [2]

Washington's 5th congressional district encompasses the Eastern Washington counties of Ferry, Stevens, Pend Oreille, Lincoln, Spokane, Whitman, Walla Walla, Columbia, Garfield, and Asotin, along with parts of Adams and Franklin. It is centered on Spokane, the state's second largest city.
Missouri's 6th congressional district takes in a large swath of land in northern Missouri, stretching across nearly the entire width of the state from Kansas to Illinois. Its largest voting population is centered in the northern portion of the Kansas City metropolitan area and the town of St. Joseph. The district includes much of Kansas City north of the Missouri River.
The 2002 United States elections were held on November 5, in the middle of Republican President George W. Bush's first term. Republicans won unified control of Congress, picking up seats in both chambers of Congress, making Bush the first President since Franklin D. He won the seat after defeating Democrat Barbara Marco 65.6% to 34.4%, thus flipping the district from Democratic to Republican. He had previously run against his predecessor Ben Harris in 2014.
