The 2006 Arizona Wildcats baseball team represented the University of Arizona during the 2006 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Wildcats played their home games at Jerry Kindall Field at Frank Sancet Stadium. The team was coached by Andy Lopez in his 5th season at Arizona. The Wildcats finished with a record of 27-28 (12-12 Conf.) They failed to make the postseason for only the 2nd season under Lopez. This would also mark one of only 2 losing seasons Arizona would have under Lopez.

The Wildcats finished the 2005 season with a record of 39-21 (17-7 Conf.), advancing to the postseason for the 3rd straight year. They advanced to the Fullerton Regional final where they would lose to host Cal State Fullerton.

The team was coached by Jerry Kindall in his 22nd season at Arizona. The Wildcats finished 15-40 overall and placed 6th in the Pacific-10's Southern Division with a 7–23 record. The Wildcats' 15 wins were the fewest the program had in a single season since winning only 12 games in 1949. This season also saw the team finish with the lowest win percentage in program history (.273). Arizona both finished with a losing record and missed the postseason for 1st time since 1991.

The 1978 Arizona Wildcats baseball team represented the University of Arizona during the 1978 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Wildcats played their home games at Wildcat Field. The team was coached by Jerry Kindall in his 6th season at Arizona. The Wildcats finished 42-13 overall and placed 2nd in the Western Athletic Conference's Southern Division with a 13–5 record. After a single year gap, Arizona was selected to the postseason and was placed in the West Regional hosted by the University of Southern California at Dedeaux Field in Los Angeles, California. The Wildcats lost their 1st game to USC before bouncing back to win their next 2 against Santa Clara and Cal State Fullerton. The team however lost their next game - a rematch with USC - to end their season. This would be Arizona's final season as members of the Western Athletic Conference, which they had been affiliated with for the previous 16 seasons. Beginning in 1979, the Wildcats would compete as members of the Pacific-10 Conference for the next 45 seasons, which they would remain in until leaving for the Big 12 Conference in 2024.
