Cherokee County is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa. As of the 2010 census, the population was 12,072. The county seat is Cherokee. The county was formed on January 15, 1851 from open territory. It was named after the Cherokee Indians.

Iowa is a state in the Midwestern United States, bordered by the Mississippi River to the east and the Missouri River and Big Sioux River to the west. It is bordered by six states: Wisconsin to the northeast, Illinois to the east, Missouri to the south, Nebraska to the west, South Dakota to the northwest, and Minnesota to the north.

Cedar Township covers an area of 36.24 square miles (93.9 km²) and contains one incorporated settlement, Larrabee. According to the USGS, it contains one cemetery, Cedar.

Larrabee is a city in Cherokee County, Iowa, United States. The population was 132 at the 2010 census.
