Grand Meadow Township covers an area of 36.42 square miles (94.3 km2) and contains no incorporated settlements. According to the USGS, it contains one cemetery, Grand Meadow.

There was a village called Frankford on Deer Creek in the far eastern part of the township near Fillmore County. It almost became the county seat but lost this distinction to Austin.
