...och stora havet ("...and the Great Ocean") is the debut studio album by Swedish pop singer Jakob Hellman. It was released on February 13, 1989 by EMI. [1]
The album was recorded in 1988 in EMI's studio in Skärmarbrink, Stockholm, and was produced by Dan Sundquist. During the recording, Sundquist worked in parallel on an album by Freda', which had higher priority than the low-budget Hellman album. Sundquist and Hellman also had differing ideas about the sound of the album. Hellman wished to retain the more primitive feel of the 1987 demo that served as the basis of the record, while Sundquist was aiming for more of a pure pop production. Sundquist eventually got what he wanted. [2]
...och stora havet was initially pressed in an edition of 5,000 copies. Once the song "Vara vänner" became a hit, the album was certified gold in the summer of 1989. The album was followed by a tour where Hellman was accompanied by musicians from Eldkvarn, Reeperbahn and Wilmer X. [2]
Lyrically, the album is tinged with a longing to get away. The songs also capture a sense of being young, impatient, misunderstood, and angst-ridden. [2]
The album was released in a remastered edition on CD on June 17, 1998. [3] Nöjesguiden named ...och stora havet the best Swedish album of the century. [4] It is also among the titles in the book Tusen svenska klassiker ("A Thousand Swedish Classics", 2009). [2]

The World According to Gessle is the third solo album by Swedish pop singer Per Gessle, released on 2 May 1997. It was his first solo album in English. The title is a paraphrase of "The World According to Garp" - the novel by John Irving. The album topped the Swedish Album Chart.

"She Doesn't Live Here Anymore" is a song by Roxette, released as the third and final single from their greatest hits compilation Don't Bore Us, Get to the Chorus! Roxette's Greatest Hits (1995). The song had originally been written and recorded for the duo's 1994 studio album Crash! Boom! Bang! but, according to Marie Fredriksson, that version "sounded really tired", and has yet to be released. It was later re-recorded in July 1995 with members of Per Gessle's former band Gyllene Tider. It is the only song in Roxette's discography to not be produced by Clarence Öfwerman. "She Doesn't Live Here Anymore" was only released in Germany, Italy and the Netherlands, peaking at number 86 on the German Singles Chart. The single included two remixed versions of "The Look" as b-sides. Its music video was directed by Jonas Åkerlund.
Träd, Gräs & Stenar is a Swedish rock band formed in 1969, from previous incarnations Pärson Sound, International Harvester and Harvester. The group was one of the front acts of the Swedish progg scene, although noticeably less political than their contemporary counterparts. Their sound has been described as raw, psych rock jam, by the writer David Pescovitz, who also notes the band would invite their audiences to improvise and collaborate.
Delicious Surprise is the fourth studio album by American country music artist Jo Dee Messina, released in 2005. Her first studio album since Burn almost five years previous, it produced a Number One single on the Billboard country music charts in "My Give a Damn's Busted", a song co-written by country singer Joe Diffie and originally recorded on his 2001 album In Another World. Nådens år is the third studio album by the Swedish rock artist Ulf Lundell. It was released in April 1978 on EMI and Parlophone. It was recorded in EMI Studio, Stockholm, and produced by Kjell Andersson and Lundell. It includes "Snön faller och vi med den", one of Lundell's more famous songs. Agnetha Fältskog is involved in the song. The cover picture shows Lundell sitting on a rock next to a dog and it was taken in Åre in 1977. Nådens år achieved Gold status in Sweden.

"Efter plugget" is a song written by Lars Olof Larsson, Ted Larsson, Ken Siewertson and Mats Carinder, and originally recorded by Factory and released as a single in 1978 with Vi sticker, här blir inga barn gjorda as B-side, as well as appearing on the band's 1979 album Factory. Song lyrics describe completing the final year of school, and worrying about what to do next. The single peaked at second position at the Swedish singles chart, and charted at Svensktoppen for 10 weeks between 8 April-10 June 1979, peaking at 5th position.
