.Wav Theory (sometimes stylized as .WAV Theory) [1] is a mixtape by American rapper Towkio. [2] It was released on April 28, 2015. [3] It includes production from Kaytranada and Lido, as well as guest appearances from Vic Mensa and Chance the Rapper. [4] Music videos were created for "I Know You", [5] "Free Your Mind", [6] ".Wav Theory", [7] "Reflection", [8] and "Clean Up". [9]

Matthew Strauss of Pitchfork gave the mixtape a 6.2 out of 10, writing, "Towkio's nebulousness leaves .Wav Theory as an enjoyable album that asks few questions and gives few answers." [11] Adam Kivel of Consequence of Sound gave the mixtape a C+ grade, commenting that it is full of "energetic, fun tracks with middling verses." [10]

It was placed at number 27 on Complex 's "Best Albums of 2015" list, [13] number 13 on RedEye 's "20 Best Albums of 2015" list, [14] and number 9 on Chicago Tribune 's "Top 10 Chicago Indie Albums of 2015" list. [15]

Acid Rap is the second mixtape by American rapper Chance the Rapper. It was released on April 30, 2013, as a free digital download. In July 2013, the album debuted at number 63 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, due to bootleg downloads on iTunes and Amazon not affiliated with the artist. The mixtape has been certified "diamond" on mixtape site Datpiff, for garnering over 1,000,000 downloads. It was rereleased on streaming services on June 21, 2019, alongside his 2012 mixtape 10 Day. He then released his third mixtape, Coloring Book in 2016, which garnered further critical acclaim and attention.
