Eindhoven is a city and municipality of the Netherlands, located in the southern province of North Brabant, of which it is the largest municipality, and is also located in the Dutch part of the natural region the Campine. With a population of 246,443 on a territory of 88.92 km2, it is the fifth-largest city of the Netherlands and the largest outside the Randstad conurbation.

The festival was being organised by Mojo Concerts and 013 Poppodium and used took place at an area called "Spoorzone" from 2014 to 2017. Since 2018, the festival had been moved to Safaripark Beekse Bergen in Hilvarenbeek.
The Dutch Song Contest 1995 was a one-off song competition between regional public broadcasters in the Netherlands. The contest was held on 25 May 1995 at the Muziekcentrum Vredenburg in Utrecht and was hosted by Karin Bloemen. It served as a substitute for the Nationaal Songfestival, the Dutch annual selection show for the Eurovision Song Contest, which was not held that year due to the Netherlands' relegation from the Eurovision Song Contest following an insufficient result in the 1994 edition.
