Drama

A live-action television drama adaptation was announced on November 22, 2023. The drama is produced by Lat-Lon and directed by Rikiya Imaizumi, with scripts written by his wife Kaori and planning and production by Junko Satō, and stars Masaki Okada and Mitsuki Takahata as Otoya and Ichiko Aihara, respectively. It premiered its first three episodes on Amazon Prime Video on June 14, 2024, while episodes 4 and 5 are set to be available on June 21 and episodes 6 and 7 on June 28. [2] [3] [5]

Reception

1122: For a Happy Marriage was nominated for the 12th Manga Taishō in 2019. [22] In December 2019, Brutus magazine listed 1122: For a Happy Marriage on their "Most Dangerous Manga" list, which included works with the most "stimulating" and thought-provoking themes. [23]

Itazura na Kiss is a Japanese shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Kaoru Tada. Itazura na Kiss was first serialized and published in 1990 by Shueisha through Bessatsu Margaret magazine. It became successful very quickly and became the manga series that Tada became known for in Japan. The manga became so popular that three live TV series have been made so far in 1996, 2005, and 2010, with a sequel of the 2005 drama in late 2007. In 2013, a remake of the Japanese live TV series, called Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo, was made. Despite its success, the manga was never completed due to the unexpected death of the author in a house accident while she was moving to another house with her husband and son. However, the manga series continues to be published with the permission of the artist's widower. The manga has sold 35 million copies, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.

<i>Manga Time Kirara Forward</i> Japanese manga magazine

Manga Time Kirara Forward is a Japanese seinen manga magazine published by Houbunsha. The magazine is sold on the 24th of each month. Forward was the fourth magazine in the Manga Time Kirara line to be published, the first three being Manga Time Kirara, Manga Time Kirara Carat, and Manga Time Kirara Max. It differs from its sister magazines in that it is the only one to not feature 4-Koma manga. The first issue was released on March 23rd 2006 as a special edition of Manga Time Kirara. The first independent issue was released on August 24th 2007.

<i>Bloody Monday</i> (manga) Japanese manga series

Bloody Monday is a Japanese manga series written by Ryō Ryūmon and illustrated by Kōji Megumi. It was serialized in Kodansha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Magazine from March 2007 to April 2009, with its chapters collected in 11 tankōbon volumes. A second series, Bloody Monday Season 2: Pandora no Hako, was serialized in the same magazine from October 2009 to April 2011, with its chapters collected in eight volumes. A third series, Bloody Monday Final Season, was serialized in the same magazine from June 2011 to March 2012, with its chapters collected in four volumes. A television drama adaptation was broadcast for two seasons in 2008 and 2010, respectively.

Dive! is a Japanese novel series written by Eto Mori and published in four volumes by Kodansha between August 2000 and August 2002.
