140 Grime St is the third studio album by British rapper Kano, released on 29 September 2008 by Bigger Picture Music. The album features guest appearances from Ghetts, Skepta, Wiley and Mikey J, with the latter three all contributing production.
The album came a year after Kano's second studio album, London Town, and after being dropped from 679 Recordings, a record label under Warner Music Group. Kano formed his own label imprint, Bigger Picture Music, deciding to return to a wholly grime approach for 140 Grime St. [1] [2] The album title is a reference to the tempo of grime production and is a continuation of the 'address' theme of his previous albums. [3] [4] [5]
The first single was the track "Hustler", which Kano described as "the perfect single (as it explains so much)". Other songs from the CD include "Anywhere We Go", "I Like It" and the autobiographical "Aim for the Sky", in which Kano describes his rise to commercial prominence. [6]
As of 2020, the album is unavailable to consume on digital streaming platforms or for purchase via digital download.

Dylan Kwabena Mills, better known by his stage name Dizzee Rascal, is a British MC and rapper. A pioneer of grime music, his work has also incorporated elements of UK garage, bassline, British hip hop, and R&B.
Richard Kylea Cowie Jr., better known by his stage name Wiley, is a British grime MC, rapper, songwriter, DJ and record producer from Bow, London. He is considered a key figure in the creation of grime music and often labelled the "Godfather of Grime". In the early 2000s, he independently released a series of highly influential eskibeat instrumentals on white label vinyl, such as the first in the series "Eskimo" and is known as a grime MC both for his solo work and for material released with his crew Roll Deep.
Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South London in the early 2000s. Paul Richard Epworth is an English record producer, musician, and songwriter. His work with artists include Adele, Florence and the Machine, Rihanna and Maxïmo Park amongst many others. He is a member of the Music Producers Guild and is the founder and owner of the independent record label Wolf Tone, having released music from Glass Animals, Rosie Lowe and The Horrors. He has won 'Producer of the Year' at the BRIT Awards three times, the most recent in 2015.
Justin Clarke, better known by his stage name Ghetts, is a British grime MC, rapper and songwriter from Plaistow, London with Caribbean roots from Jamaica and Grenada. His music has been played on national radio stations such as BBC Radio 1, Kiss 100, BBC Asian Network, and BBC Radio 1Xtra. Currently, Ghetts is signed to independent record label Disrupt, and released his debut studio album, Rebel with a Cause, on 9 March 2014. Known for his hard hitting lyrics and intricate rhyme schemes, he is associated and has toured internationally with such acts as Kano and was a member of NASTY Crew.

In the past 14 years he has collaborated with the likes of Skepta, T.I., Meek Mill, Young Adz and many others. In 2009, he released his debut album, I Am Chipmunk, featuring four songs which peaked in the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart, including the chart-topping "Oopsy Daisy". Jamie Adenuga, known professionally as Jme, is a British grime MC, songwriter, record producer and DJ who was born in Hackney, and raised in Tottenham. He is the co-founder of the crew and label Boy Better Know. He was previously part of the grime collective Meridian Crew and later Roll Deep alongside his older brother, Skepta.
James Devlin, better known mononymously as Devlin, was an English rapper and songwriter from Dagenham, London. He attended the Brittons Academy in Rainham, East London. He was signed to Island Records from 2010 to 2015. He is part of grime collective 'O.T Crew' with Dogzilla, Deeperman, M. Eye, Benson, Kozy, Syer Bars, Shotz, Meshie, Props and Daze. Devlin was also a member of the Movement, consisting of himself, Wretch 32, Scorcher, Ghetts, Lightning, Mercston and DJ Unique but has since left.
Method to the Maadness is the fourth studio album by British rapper Kano, released on 30 August 2010 by Bigger Picture Music. The album has contributions from several artists including Wiley, Boys Noize, Hot Chip, Chase & Status and Damon Albarn.
"Pow 2011" is a single by grime MC, Lethal Bizzle, featuring fellow grime artists Jme, Wiley, Chipmunk, Face, P Money, Ghetts and Kano – who are usually credited as Grime All Stars. The single is a sequel of Lethal Bizzle's hit single, "Pow! (Forward)" which was released in 2004. The single is produced by Teddy, also known as Silencer. "Pow 2011" was released on 6 February 2011 for digital download. It was the first single from Bizzle's compilation album, Best of Bizzle. Soccer AM used the song for the background music to a part of the show called 'Frimponged'.

Kwadwo Quentin Kankam, better known by his stage name Novelist, is a British grime MC and record producer from Lewisham in South London. He was a founding member of the Square crew and was nominated for Best Grime Act at the 2014 MOBO Awards. He has been called the "new face of grime" and was described as "the poster child for the first generation of real grime kids" by DJ Logan Sama.
Made in the Manor is the fifth studio album by British rapper Kano. The album was released on 4 March 2016 by Parlophone Records and Bigger Picture Music. It is Kano's first album release for six years following Method to the Maadness (2010), featuring guest appearances from Wiley, Giggs, Jme and Damon Albarn. The production was handled by frequent collaborators Mikey J, Fraser T Smith, Blue May and Damon Albarn, alongside Jodi Milliner, Kwes, Mele, Rustie, Sam Beste, Swifta Beater and Zeph Ellis.

It follows the album Made in the Manor, released in 2016. Miss Anthropocene is the fifth studio album by Canadian musician Grimes, released on February 21, 2020. It marked her first album in over four years, since she released Art Angels. It was officially announced on March 19, 2019. The album's name is a pun on the feminine title "Miss", and the words "misanthrope" and "Anthropocene", a neologism popularised in the year 2000 by Paul J. Crutzen that was proposed to denote the current geological age the Earth is in. The album is a loose concept album about an "anthropomorphic goddess of climate change" inspired by Roman mythology and villainy. Miss Anthropocene is Grimes' final album on record label 4AD, to which she has been signed since 2012. The album is darker in style than Grimes' 2015 album Art Angels, containing inspiration from the sounds of industrial music.
Lord of the Mics is a series of recorded grime clashes, headed by Jammer and Chad ‘Ratty’ Stennett. Each edition of LOTM features grime MC's participating in recorded clashes, where they 'battle' each other over grime instrumentals. Various notable grime artists have participated in Lord of the Mics, such as Skepta, Wiley, Kano, P Money, Big H, and Canadian MC Tre Mission. LOTM was originally launched in 2004. The first clash to be filmed for LOTM, Wiley versus Kano, was filmed in Jammer's basement. The series was originally only published via DVD. LOTM was the first platform that released filmed grime clashes.
