<i>Lincoronazione di Dario</i> Opera by Antonio Vivaldi

L'incoronazione di Dario is a dramma per musica by Antonio Vivaldi with an Italian libretto by Adriano Morselli. The opera was first performed at the Teatro Sant'Angelo in Venice on 23 January 1717.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Teatro Santi Giovanni e Paolo</span>

The Teatro Santi Giovanni e Paolo was a theatre and opera house in Venice located on the Calle della Testa, and takes its name from the nearby Basilica of Santi Giovanni e Paolo, Venice. Built by the Grimani family in 1638, in its heyday it was considered the most beautiful and comfortable theatre in the city. The theatre played an important role in the development of opera and saw the premieres of several works by Francesco Cavalli, as well as Monteverdi's Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria and L'incoronazione di Poppea.

Annibale Pio Fabri, also known as Balino, from Annibalino, diminutive of his first name, was an Italian singer and composer of the 18th century. One of the leading tenors of his age in a time dominated by the castrati, Fabri is now best known for his association with the composer George Frideric Handel, in whose operas Fabri sang.

L'incoronazione di Dario is an opera in three acts composed by Giacomo Antonio Perti to an Italian libretto by Adriano Morselli. It was first performed on 13 January 1686, at the Teatro Malvezzi in Bologna. Morselli originally wrote the libretto for Domenico Freschi's opera Dario which premiered at the Teatro San Angelo in Venice in 1685. Other later uses of the libretto include Giuseppe Aldrovandini's 1705 L'incoronazione di Dario and Vivaldi's 1717 L'incoronazione di Dario.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Gaetano Coronaro</span> Italian composer

Gaetano Coronaro was an Italian conductor, pedagogue, and composer. He was born in Vicenza and had his initial musical training there followed by study from 1871 to 1873 at the Milan Conservatory under Franco Faccio. He composed orchestral works, sacred music, and chamber pieces as well as five operas. La Creola, which premiered at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna in 1878, was the only one to have any success.

Giuseppe Ferdinando Brivio was an Italian composer, conductor, violinist, and singing teacher who is chiefly known for his operas. His work displays a natural expression and uses figurations similar to that of Antonio Vivaldi.
