The King Alfonso XIII's Cup 1922 was the 22nd staging of the Copa del Rey, the Spanish football cup competition.

The competition started on 12 March 1922, and concluded on 14 May 1922, with the final, held at the Campo de Coia in Vigo, in which FC Barcelona lifted the trophy for the fifth time with a 5–1 victory over Real Unión thanks to goals from Ramón Torralba, Josep Samitier, Paulino Alcántara (2) and Clemente Gràcia. They were winners of the 1919 Copa del Rey, beating FC Barcelona 5–2.

Pedro Vicente Saturnino Vallana Jeanguenat was a Spanish footballer, referee and manager in Spain in the 1920s. He was of Italian and Swiss descent. He spent all 12 seasons of his playing career with Arenas de Getxo, during the club's golden age, thus being a historical player of the club and part of the so-called one-club men group. He was a member of the Spain national team which won the silver medal in the football tournament of the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp. He participated in a further two Olympic Games for a total of three, a record that no other Spanish footballer has broken. Once retired, he was a prestigious referee in Spain in La Liga and during the Spanish Civil War, he coached the Basque Country national team, a fact that led to his exile in Uruguay after the war, living there until his death in 1980.

The 2008–09 Copa del Rey was the 107th staging of the Copa del Rey. The competition started on 23 August 2008 and concluded on 13 May 2009 with the final, held at the Mestalla Stadium in Valencia, in which Barcelona lifted the trophy for the 25th time in their history with a 4–1 victory over Athletic Bilbao, who qualified for the third qualifying round of the 2009–10 UEFA Europa League. The defending cup holders were Valencia, but they were eliminated in the quarter-finals.

It was the deciding match of the Spanish cup competition, the Copa del Rey. Real Unión beat Madrid FC 2–0 to win their first title. Unión's captain, forward Juan Legarreta, scored both goals.

The 1927 Copa del Rey Final was the 27th final of the Spanish cup competition, the Copa del Rey. The final was played at Torrero, in Zaragoza, on 15 May 1927. Real Unión beat Arenas Club de Getxo 1–0 and won their third and last title. The only goal of the match was scored in extra-time by José Echeveste.

The 1922–23 Prince of Asturias Cup was the fifth tournament of the Prince of Asturias Cup, which is an inter-regional football competition contested by the regional selections of Spain.
