The 1946 Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship was the 56th staging of the Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Tipperary County Board in 1887.
Thurles Sarsfields were the defending champions.
Thurles Sarsfields won the championship after a 4–05 to 0–03 defeat of Carrick Swans in the final. [1] It was their 16th championship title overall and their third title in succession.
Thurles Sarsfields is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "Mid-Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred in the town of Thurles at Semple Stadium. The club was founded in 1881 and is the most honoured club in the history of the county championship with 36 County Titles.
