Fud LeClerc was a Belgian singer, who was also the pianist of Juliette Gréco. Born Fernand Urbain Dominic Leclercq, LeClerc had a career as a pianist, accordionist, songwriter and singer before retiring to travel the world. On his return to Belgium he began a new career as a building contractor. More recently, LeClerc was invited to ESC 2005 by the Belgian TV network RTBF as a guest star.
The Eurovision Song Contest 1960 was the 5th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in London, United Kingdom and was held at the Royal Festival Hall on Tuesday 29 March 1960. The show was hosted by Catherine Boyle.
"Mon amour pour toi" was the Belgian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1960, performed in French by Fud Leclerc.

Belgium has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 60 times since making its debut as one of the seven countries at the first contest in 1956. The only countries with more appearances are Germany (62), France (61) and the United Kingdom (61). Belgium have been absent only three times in total, in 1994, 1997 and 2001, due to low scores in the previous contests that relegated them from the contest. Belgium has won the contest once, in 1986.
Eurosong is the current name for the show in search for Belgium's song and artist for the Eurovision Song Contest. Belgium has two national broadcasters of the contest, Flemish broadcaster Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroep (VRT) and Walloon broadcaster Radio Télévision Belge Francophone (RTBF). The two broadcasters rotate selection for the Eurovision Song Contest each year.
Belgium selected their participants for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with an internal selection. Walloon broadcaster RTBF selected the Belgian entry, announcing their decision in February 2007. It was officially decided that The KMG's would represent Belgium with the song "Love Power".
Sweden chose its entry for Eurovision Song Contest 1960 by the national final, Melodifestivalen 1960. The winning song, "Alla andra får varann" was performed once by Östen Warnerbring and once by Ingrid Berggren. However Sveriges Radio decided that Siw Malmkvist would represent Sweden, as she had been denied that the previous year.
Louis Neefs was a Belgian singer and presenter, known for his participation in the Eurovision Song Contests of 1967 and 1969.
Belgium were represented in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 by the French-language broadcaster Radio Télévision Belge de la Communauté Française (RTBF), who choose the Belgian entry for the contest through an internal selection. The song did not progress from the first semi-final of the competition, finishing second to last with just one point.
Belgium was represented by Barbara Dex at the Eurovision Song Contest 1993, which took place in Millstreet, Ireland, performing "Iemand als jij". Dex was the winner of the Flemish national final for the contest, Eurosong '93.
Belgium was one of seven countries to enter the Eurovision Song Contest 1956, the first Eurovision Song Contest to be held. Belgian broadcaster INR selected two entries to represent Belgium: Fud Leclerc with "Messieurs les noyés de la Seine" and Mony Marc with "Le plus beau jour de ma vie", both sung in French. Neither song won the Contest, held in Lugano, Switzerland.
Belgium participated at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, with Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroep (VRT) having selected the 52nd Belgian entry for Eurovision. Tom Dice was selected by VRT to represent Belgium at the Contest, held in Oslo, Norway in May 2010, performed the song "Me and My Guitar". It ended 1st in the Semi Final 1, and 6th in the Final.
Belgium was represented by Fud Leclerc, with the song '"Mon amour pour toi", at the 1960 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 19 March in London. The song was chosen in the Belgian national final on 24 January. This was the third of Leclerc's four appearances for Belgium at Eurovision.
Belgium participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany, selecting their entry through an internet selection and a national final, organised by French speaking broadcaster RTBF.
Belgium participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Belgian entry was selected through a combination of an internal selection, to select the artist, and a national final, to select the song, both organised by the Belgian broadcaster VRT. Iris represented Belgium with the song "Would You?", which failed to qualify from the first semi-final, achieving 17th place with 16 points.
Belgium participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden. The Belgian entry was selected through a combination of an internal selection to select the artist and a national final to select the song, organised by the Belgian broadcaster Radio Télévision Belge Francophone (RTBF). Roberto Bellarosa represented Belgium with the song "Love Kills", which qualified from the first semi-final of the competition and finished in 12th place in the final, scoring 71 points. This was Belgiums's second best placing since the introduction of the semi-finals in 2004.
Belgium participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Their entry was selected through the national final Eurosong 2014, organised by the Belgian broadcaster Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie (VRT). Axel Hirsoux performed the Belgian entry "Mother" written by Rafael Artesero and Ashley Hicklin. The song failed to qualify from the first semi-final, placing 14th and scoring 28 points.
Belgium participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Rhythm Inside", written by Loïc Nottet and Beverly Jo Scott. The song was performed by Loïc Nottet, who was selected by the Belgian broadcaster Radio Télévision Belge de la Communauté Française (RTBF) in November 2014 to represent the nation at the 2015 contest in Vienna, Austria. "Rhythm Inside" was internally selected as the song Loïc Nottet would perform at Eurovision and later premiered in March 2015. In the first of the Eurovision semi-finals "Rhythm Inside" placed second out of the 16 participating countries, securing its place among the 27 other songs in the final. In Belgium's fifty-seventh Eurovision appearance on 23 May, "Rhythm Inside" finished in fourth place, receiving 217 points and full marks from three countries.
Belgium participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "What's the Pressure" written by Sanne Putseys, Louis Favre, Birsen Uçar and Yannick Werther. The song was performed by Laura Tesoro. The Belgian entry for the 2016 contest in Stockholm, Sweden was selected through the national final Eurosong 2016, organised by the Flemish broadcaster Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie (VRT). The competition featured five competing acts and consisted of two presentation shows and a final. In the final on 17 January 2016, the winner was selected over two rounds of voting: the first selected the top two via the votes of ten international jury groups and a public televote, while the second selected the winner solely by public televoting. "What's the Pressure" performed by Laura Tesoro was the winner after placing first during both rounds of voting.
Belgium participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "City Lights", written by Pierre Dumoulin and Ellie Delvaux (Blanche). The song was performed by Blanche, who was selected by the Belgian broadcaster Radio Télévision Belge de la Communauté Française (RTBF) on 22 November 2016 to represent the nation at the 2017 contest in Kiev, Ukraine. "City Lights" was internally selected as the song Blanche would perform at Eurovision and later premiered on 8 March 2017.
Belgium participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Sennek was internally selected by the Belgian broadcaster Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie (VRT) on 28 September 2017 to represent the nation at the 2018 contest in Lisbon.
Belgium will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. Eliot was selected internally by the Belgian broadcaster Radio Télévision Belge de la Communauté Française (RTBF) to represent Belgium in Tel Aviv with the song "Wake Up". The song is written by Pierre Dumoulin and was released on 28 February 2019.
Eliot Vassamillet is a Belgian singer who will represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel. He was selected internally with the song "Wake Up" written by Pierre Dumoulin, who previously wrote "City Lights" for singer Blanche, which placed 4th in Eurovision Song Contest 2017.
