Elections to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly were held in February 1969 to elect members of the 40 constituencies in Nagaland, India. Nagaland Nationalist Organisation won a majority of the seats and Hokishe Sema was appointed as the Chief Minister of Nagaland.

Contents

Nagaland was converted to a state by the State of Nagaland Act, 1962 [1] and the first elections were called for in 1964. The five-year term for that assembly came to an end in January 1969.

The Delimitation commission or Boundary commission of India is a commission established by the Government of India under the provisions of the Delimitation Commission Act. The main task of the commission is redrawing the boundaries of the various assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies based on a recent census. He was elected to the post of Chief Minister of Assam for Three Consecutive Terms, once from Badarpur Constituency and twice from Sonari Constituency. He was in office from 28 December 1957 to 6 November 1970. He was awarded Padma Vibhushan in 1971.

The first elections to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly were held in January 1964 to elect members of the 40 constituencies in Nagaland, India. There were no political parties registered and so all the candidates fought as Independents. P. Shilu Ao was appointed as the first Chief Minister of Nagaland.

Elections to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly were held in February 1974 to elect members of the 60 constituencies in Nagaland, India. United Democratic Front won the most number of seats and Vizol Koso was appointed as the Chief Minister of Nagaland.

Nagaland Nationalist Organisation was a political party in Nagaland, India. It formed the government in Nagaland from 1964 to 1974.
