The Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) is an Asian table tennis governing body formed on May 7, 1972, and recognized by International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) in 1975. ATTU was founded by 16 member associations, currently, 44 member associations are affiliated to ATTU.
The ITTF–ATTU Asian Cup is an annual table tennis competition held by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and the Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU). The first edition was held in 1983. The competition features men's and women's singles events, with 16 players qualifying to take part in each event, subject to a maximum of two players per association.
The 2019 Asian Table Tennis Championships were held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from 15 to 22 September 2019. Around 128 males and 100 females table tennis players competed in the singles, doubles and team events.
The 5th Asian Junior Table Tennis Championships 1994 were held in Jōetsu, Niigata, Japan, from 29 April to 3 May 1994. It was organised by the Japan Table Tennis Association under the authority of the Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) and International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
The 17th Asian Table Tennis Championships 2005 were held in Jeju-do, South Korea, from 27 August to 2 September 2005. It was organised by the Korea Table Tennis Association under the authority of Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) and International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
The 16th Asian Table Tennis Championships 2003 were held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 22 to 28 February 2003. It was organised by the Table Tennis Association of Thailand under the authority of Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) and International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
The 15th Asian Table Tennis Championships 2000 were held in Doha, Qatar, from 1 to 8 May 2000. It was organised by the Qatar Table Tennis Association under the authority of Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) and International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
The 14th Asian Table Tennis Championships 1998 were held in Osaka, Japan, from 28 September to 4 October 1998. It was organised by the Japan Table Tennis Association under the authority of Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) and International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
The 13th Asian Table Tennis Championships 1996 were held in Osaka, Japan, from 4 to 10 December 1996. It was organised by the Singapore Table Tennis Association under the authority of Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) and International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
The 12th Asian Table Tennis Championships 1994 were held in Tianjin, China, from 20 to 27 September 1994. It was organised by the Chinese Table Tennis Association under the authority of Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) and International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
The 11th Asian Table Tennis Championships 1992 were held in New Delhi, India, from 7 to 14 November 1992. It was organised by the Table Tennis Federation of India under the authority of Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) and International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
The 10th Asian Table Tennis Championships 1990 were held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 9 to 17 December 1990. It was organised by the Table Tennis Association of Malaysia under the authority of Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) and International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
The 8th Asian Table Tennis Championships 1986 were held in Shenzhen, China, from 7 to 14 October 1986. It was organised by the Chinese Table Tennis Association under the authority of Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) and International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
The 7th Asian Table Tennis Championships 1984 were held in Islamabad, Pakistan, from 20 to 28 October 1984. It was organised by the Pakistan Table Tennis Federation under the authority of Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) and International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
