The 1990 UCLA Bruins men's soccer team represented the University of California, Los Angeles during the 1990 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. UCLA was coached by then-11th year head coach, Sigi Schmid.
The season is hallmarked by the Bruins winning their second NCAA national championship, and their first since the 1985 team. UCLA finished the season with a 19–1–4 record. [1] UCLA and Rutgers played for the National Championship. In a scoreless draw, the Bruins won 4–3 on a penalties. [2]
The previous season saw the Bruins finish with a 18–4–1 overall record, competing as an independent. The Bruins earned an at-large bid into the 1989 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament, where they reached the quarterfinals, before losing to eventual national co-champions, Santa Clara.

The UCLA Bruins are the athletic teams that represent the University of California, Los Angeles. The Bruin men's and women's teams participate in NCAA Division I as part of the Big Ten Conference and the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF). For football, they are in the Football Bowl Subdivision of Division I. UCLA is second to only Stanford University as the school with the most NCAA team championships at 123 NCAA team championships. UCLA offers 11 varsity sports programs for men and 14 for women.

Jeff Hooker is a retired U.S. soccer forward who coached the University of Denver women's soccer team. Hooker earned twelve caps, scoring one goal, with the U.S. national team between 1984 and 1987 and was a member of the 1984 U.S. Olympic soccer team. He played professionally in the Western Soccer Alliance and American Professional Soccer League.
The UCLA Bruins men's basketball program represents the University of California, Los Angeles in the sport of men's basketball as a member of the Big Ten Conference. Established in 1919, the program has won a record 11 NCAA titles. Coach John Wooden led the Bruins to 10 national titles in 12 seasons, from 1964 to 1975, including seven straight from 1967 to 1973. UCLA went undefeated a record four times. Coach Jim Harrick led the team to another NCAA title in 1995. Former coach Ben Howland led UCLA to three consecutive Final Four appearances from 2006 to 2008. As a member of the AAWU, Pacific-8 and then Pacific-10, UCLA set an NCAA Division I record with 13 consecutive regular season conference titles between 1967 and 1979 which stood until tied by Kansas in 2017. In 2024, UCLA departed the Pac-12 Conference and joined the Big Ten Conference on August 2, 2024.
Dean Wurzberger is a U.S. soccer coach who was a reserve team player with the Seattle Sounders of the North American Soccer League. He later spent three seasons in the American Soccer League and most recently served as Head Coach for the University of Washington men's soccer team, a position he held since 1992.
Jorge Salcedo is an American former soccer player and coach. He was the head coach of the UCLA Bruins men's soccer team. He is a retired American soccer defender who played professionally in Mexico and Major League Soccer. He earned three caps with the United States men's national soccer team.
The UC Santa Barbara Gauchos are the intercollegiate athletic teams who represent the University of California, Santa Barbara. Referred to in athletic competition as UC Santa Barbara or UCSB, the Gauchos participate in 19 NCAA Division I intercollegiate sports with the majority competing in the Big West Conference. Thomas Silvas is a retired American soccer forward who played three seasons in the Western Soccer Alliance, one in the American Professional Soccer League and at least two in the USISL. He earned two caps with the U.S. national team in 1986 and currently works as assistant coach for Singapore side Tampines Rovers.
The 1995–96 UCLA Bruins men's basketball team represented the University of California, Los Angeles in the 1995–96 NCAA Division I men's basketball season as Defending National Champions from 1995, but bookended the season with two disappointing losses. While ranked #4, one loss was in the Maui Classic to a Santa Clara team led by then obscure guard Steve Nash. The team finished 1st in the conference. The Bruins competed in the 1996 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, flopping in a spectacular upset to the unranked Princeton Tigers in the round of 64. This was the final season for head coach Jim Harrick, a national championship coach who was fired over a transgression where he lied about two current players attending a recruiting dinner at Monty's Steakhouse, in contravention of NCAA rules.
The UCLA Bruins baseball team is the varsity college baseball team of the University of California, Los Angeles. Having started playing in 1920, the program is a member of the NCAA Division I Big Ten Conference. It plays its home games at Jackie Robinson Stadium. The program has appeared in five College World Series and won the 2013 National Championship.
Gregory Scott Lee was an American professional basketball and volleyball player. He played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins, winning back-to-back national championships as their starting point guard in 1972 and 1973. He had short stints in the original American Basketball Association (ABA) and the National Basketball Association (NBA) before playing four seasons in West Germany. As a volleyball player, Lee teamed with Jim Menges to set a record with 13 consecutive professional beach volleyball titles. He was inducted into the California Beach Volleyball Association's (CBVA) hall of fame.

The 1954 UCLA Bruins football team was an American football team that represented the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the Pacific Coast Conference during the 1954 college football season. They played their home games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and were coached by Red Sanders. It was Sanders' sixth season as the UCLA head coach; the Bruins finished 9–0 overall, and were Pacific Coast Conference Champions with a 6–0 record. In nine games, UCLA outscored their opponents, 367 to 40.
The 2002 UCLA Bruins men's soccer team represented the University of California, Los Angeles during the 2002 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. The Bruins won their fourth NCAA title this season, defeating Pac-10 rivals, Stanford, in the championship. To date, this is UCLA's most recent College Cup title. It was the 66th season the Bruins fielded a men's varsity soccer team, and their 11th season playing in the Pacific-10 Conference.
The 2017 NCAA Division I women's soccer tournament was the 36th annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of NCAA Division I women's collegiate soccer. The semifinals and championship game were played at Orlando City Stadium in Orlando, Florida on December 1 and 3, 2017, while the preceding rounds were played at various sites across the country during November 2017. The Stanford Cardinal were tournament champions, winning the final 3–2 over the UCLA Bruins.
The 1951–52 UCLA Bruins men's basketball team represented the University of California, Los Angeles during the 1951–52 NCAA men's basketball season and were members of the Pacific Coast Conference. The Bruins were led by fourth year head coach John Wooden. They finished the regular season with a record of 19–12 and won the PCC Southern Division with a record of 8–4. UCLA defeated the Washington Huskies in the conference play-offs and lost to Santa Clara in the NCAA regional semifinals and Oklahoma City in the regional consolation game.
Louise Kristina Lieberman is an American soccer coach and former player. She is the former head coach of the San Diego Toreros women's team. Lieberman played for the Washington Freedom of the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA) and collegiate soccer for the UCLA Bruins.
Margueritte Aozasa is an American college soccer coach who is the head coach of the UCLA Bruins women's soccer team. She led UCLA to the 2022 national championship, and was named the 2022 United Soccer Coaches College Coach of the Year.
