The New Jersey Pride were a men's professional field lacrosse team in the Major League Lacrosse formerly based in Piscataway, New Jersey, United States from 2001-2008.
Red Bull Arena is a soccer-specific stadium in Harrison, New Jersey that is home to the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer and NJ/NY Gotham FC of the National Women's Soccer League. Featuring a transparent partial roof, it is located on the waterfront in the Riverbend District of Harrison across the Passaic River from Newark and approximately 7 miles (12 km) west of Lower Manhattan, New York City. With a seating capacity of 25,000, it is the sixth-largest soccer-specific stadium in the United States and in Major League Soccer.
SHI Stadium is the football stadium at Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey. Rutgers Scarlet Knights football, Rutgers Scarlet Knights men's lacrosse, and women's lacrosse use the venue for home games. It is located on the Busch Campus at Rutgers, and overlooks the Raritan River to the South. The stadium was opened as Rutgers Stadium on September 3, 1994, when the Rutgers Scarlet Knights hosted the Kent State Golden Flashes. It currently seats 52,454 spectators after a 2009 expansion in the south end zone student section.

The program first started at the varsity level in 1887. The coach is currently Brian Brecht, who is in his eighth year at that position and who joined Rutgers after previously coaching at Siena College. The team plays its home games at SHI Stadium. On July 1, 2014, Rutgers joined the Big Ten Conference in all sports.
The 2011 Big East Conference men's soccer tournament is the 2011 edition of the tournament, which determines the men's college soccer champion of the Big East Conference, as well as the conference's automatic berth into the 2011 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. The tournament will begin on November 2, 2011 and conclude with the Big East championship on November 13, 2011. The championship, along with the semifinal fixtures will be played at soccer-specific stadium Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.

The team is a member of the Big Ten Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. Rutgers's first varsity's men's soccer team was fielded in 1938, although organized soccer has been played at the university since at least 1869. The team plays its home games at Yurcak Field in New Brunswick. The Knights are coached by Jim McElderry.

The school competes in the Big Ten Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), although it was previously a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10), the original Big East Conference, and the new Big East Conference. The Rutgers field hockey team plays its home games at the Bauer Track and Field/Field Hockey Complex on the university's Livingston Campus in Piscataway, New Jersey. Since the field hockey program was established in 1974, the Scarlet Knights have appeared in the NCAA tournament twice, placed runner-up in regular-season conference play three times, and finished second in a conference tournament twice. The team is currently coached by Meredith Civico.

The seven match tournament began with first round matches held at campus sites, before moving to Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium in Saint Paul, Minnesota for the semifinals and final. The eight-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play.
The Princeton–Rutgers rivalry is a college rivalry in athletics between the Tigers of Princeton University and Scarlet Knights of Rutgers University – New Brunswick, both of which are located in New Jersey. The rivalry dates back to the first college football game in history in 1869. Although the football series ended in 1980 due to the two schools going in different directions with their football programs, the rivalry has continued in other sports, primarily in men's basketball.

The 2018–19 Rutgers Scarlet Knights women's basketball team represents Rutgers University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Scarlet Knights, led by 24th year head coach C. Vivian Stringer, play their home games at the Louis Brown Athletic Center, better known as The RAC, as a member of the Big Ten Conference. They finished the season 22–10, 13–5 in Big Ten play to finish in third place. They advanced to the semifinals of the Big Ten women's tournament where they lost to Iowa. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA women's tournament in the 7th seed in the Albany Regional where they got upset by Buffalo in the first round.

The defending tournament champion, Minnesota, did not qualify for this year's tournament. Penn State beat Michigan in the tournament championship game in overtime 2–1. Penn State is the Big Ten Tournament Champion. It was just the sixth Big Ten final to go to overtime.
