The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS; formerly known as UMDNJ-GSBS) was one of eight schools that formed the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). After the July 1, 2013 dissolution of UMDNJ, the students attending GSBS on the Newark and Piscataway campuses joined the newly created Rutgers University Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, while the students attending GSBS on the Stratford campus joined the newly established Rowan University Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.

The school became New Jersey State Teachers College at Glassboro in the 1930s, and Glassboro State College in 1958. Starting in the 1970s, it grew into a multi-purpose institution, adding programs in business and communications.

Rutgers University–Camden is one of three regional campuses of Rutgers University, New Jersey's public research university. It is located in Camden, New Jersey, United States. Founded in 1766, Rutgers–Camden began as an amalgam of the South Jersey Law School and the College of South Jersey. It is the southernmost of the three regional campuses of Rutgers—the others being located in New Brunswick and Newark. The city of Camden is located on the Delaware River, east of Philadelphia.
Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is a medical school of Rutgers University. It is one of the two graduate medical schools of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, together with New Jersey Medical School, and engages in cooperation with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, the medical school’s principal affiliate.
Busch Campus is one of the five sub-campuses at Rutgers University's New Brunswick/Piscataway area campus, and is located entirely within Piscataway, New Jersey, US. Academic facilities and departments centered on this campus are primarily those related to the natural sciences: physics, pharmacy, engineering, psychology, mathematics and statistics, chemistry, geology, and biology. The Rutgers Medical School was also built on this campus in 1970, but a year later was separated by the state, renamed the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and merge with the New Jersey Medical School and other health profession schools in Newark and New Brunswick to create the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Rutgers and the medical school continued to share the land and facilities on the campus in a slightly irregular arrangement. On July 1, 2013, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School was officially merged back into Rutgers University, along with most of the other schools of UMDNJ, with the exception of the UMDNJ-School of Osteopathic Medicine.
The Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine (CABM) is located on Busch Campus in Piscataway, New Jersey. It was established in 1985 to advance knowledge in the life sciences for the improvement of human health. It is administered by Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The building was completed in 1990, and has 100,000 square feet (10,000 m2) of lab and office space. It now is part of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences campus that was created following the successful merger of UMDNJ.
New Jersey Medical School (NJMS)—also known as Rutgers New Jersey Medical School—is a graduate medical school of Rutgers University that is part of the division of Biomedical and Health Sciences. NJMS is the oldest school of medicine in New Jersey. The school of medicine was founded in 1954 as the Seton Hall College of Medicine and Dentistry, established under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark, in Jersey City, New Jersey. On August 6, 1954, the College was incorporated as a legal entity separate from Seton Hall University, but with an interlocking Board of Trustees. The first class of 80 students was admitted to the four-year MD program in September 1956, becoming only the sixth medical school in the New York City metropolitan area. In 1965, the institution was acquired by the State of New Jersey, renamed the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry (NJCMD), and relocated to Newark, New Jersey. With the passing of the Medical and Dental Education Act of 1970, signed into law by Governor William T. Cahill on June 16, the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (CMDNJ) was created, merging NJCMD with the two-year medical school established at Rutgers University in 1961, under a single board of trustees.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Department of Radiology is the second largest academic department in Radiological Sciences in the United States. Rutgers University – New Brunswick in New Jersey is the oldest campus of Rutgers University, the others being in Camden and Newark. It is primarily located in New Brunswick and Piscataway. The campus is composed of several smaller campuses: College Avenue, Busch, Livingston,Cook, and Douglass, the latter two sometimes referred to as "Cook/Douglass," as they are adjacent to each other. Rutgers – New Brunswick also includes several buildings in downtown New Brunswick. The School of Engineering (SoE) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, was founded in 1914 as the College of Engineering. It was originally a part of the Rutgers Scientific School, which was founded in 1864. The school has seven academic departments, with a combined undergraduate student enrollment of over 2,400 students. It offers over 25 academic and professional degree programs. These include several interdisciplinary programs, such as Bioenvironmental Engineering and Bioresource Engineering with the Department of Environmental Science, and the graduate program in Mechanics.
Rutgers Law School is the law school of Rutgers University located in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is the largest public law school in the United States by enrollment and the 10th largest overall, with each class in Rutgers Law's three-year J.D. program enrolling approximately 300 students. Founded in 1908, Rutgers offers the J.D. and foreign lawyer J.D. Rutgers has over 20,000 alumni practicing in all 50 U.S. states. In 2015, Rutgers School of Law–Newark and Rutgers School of Law–Camden were unified into a single law school with two campuses.
The Rutgers University Police Department (RUPD) is a campus police agency responsible for law enforcement on the New Brunswick, Newark, and Camden campuses of Rutgers University. RUPD is a department of the university's Division of Administration and Public Safety which also houses Rutgers Emergency Services which is responsible for Emergency Medical Services and emergency management on the campus as well as responding to fire and hazardous materials emergencies in coordination with local first responders. The Division of Administration and Public Safety also oversees the campus bus system, the Rutgers Golf Course, and other services on campus.
Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) is the umbrella organization for the schools and assets acquired by Rutgers University after the July 1, 2013 breakup of the former University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. While its various facilities are spread across several locations statewide, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences is considered the university's fourth campus.
Christopher J. Molloy, PhD, RPh is an American scientist and pharmacist. He currently serves as the chancellor for Rutgers University–New Brunswick Campus. He is an Elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. His responsibilities include overall administrative management for Rutgers’ flagship campus in New Brunswick, NJ, comprising more than 49,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, approximately 10,000 faculty and staff, 17 degree-granting schools, 175+ research centers and a premier Honors College.
