The Eurovision Song Contest 1990 was the 35th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It was held in Zagreb, Yugoslavia on 5 May 1990. The presenters were Helga Vlahović Brnobić and Oliver Mlakar. Toto Cutugno was the winner of this contest with his own composition "Insieme: 1992". This was the second victory for Italy, the first one having been "Non ho l'età", performed by Gigliola Cinquetti in 1964. Cutugno was aged 46 years and 302 days at the time of his victory, making him the oldest winner of the contest to date, the first to be aged in their forties since 1958. He held the record until 2000.
"Ik wil alles met je delen" was the Dutch entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1990, performed in Dutch by Maywood. The English language version was entitled "No more winds to guide me".
Marco Roberto Borsato is a Dutch singer. Born in Alkmaar, North Holland, he started performing in Italian before switching to Dutch in 1994. He has consistently been one of the most successful and biggest grossing artists in the Netherlands for the past twenty years.
Goede tijden, slechte tijden, also known as GTST or simply Goede tijden, is the longest-running Dutch soap opera, which began on 1 October 1990 on RTL4. The programme was the first daily soap in the Netherlands and also in Europe. The soap is produced by Joop van den Ende and to date over 5,000 episodes have been broadcast. It was inspired by the Australian soap The Restless Years, although it started following its own course during the third season. GTST is broadcast Monday to Friday at 20:00. Around 1.5 million viewers watch each episode. It is the highest-rated soap opera in the Netherlands.
Jeugdjournaal is a Dutch television news programme produced by the Dutch public service broadcaster NOS for children. The programme has been broadcast since 1981.
Soundmixshow is the Dutch talent show; it was hosted by Henny Huisman, as a live-vocals version of the Playback Show. It has since been sold to other countries, for instance the European Soundmix Show.
Klokhuis is a daily documentary show for primary school children and young teenagers produced by Omroep NTR of the Netherlands. It first aired in 1988. It is broadcast every weekday at 18:25 on NPO 3 and lasts about 15 minutes. The subjects vary wildly. Quite often, factories are visited, where a complete production process is explained. The serious parts are interspersed with sketches, which sometimes have aspects that only adults would understand, whilst still remaining funny for children. After 25 years, almost everybody in the Netherlands knows the show and a generation grew up with it. It has become a so-called institution, which not many tv-programs have achieved.

Maria Louise Clara Albertine Fluitsma, known as Marlous Fluitsma, is a Dutch actress, known for her roles in Dutch films and on television in various Dutch language series. She was well-known to Europeans outside the Netherlands for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 1980, held in The Hague.
