The 2000 du Maurier Open men's doubles was the men's doubles event of the one hundred and eleventh edition of the Canadian Open; a WTA Tier I tournament and the most prestigious men's tennis tournament held in Canada. Jonas Björkman and Patrick Rafter were the defending champions, but Rafter chose not to participate, and only Bjorkman competed that year. Bjorkman partnered with Max Mirnyi, but lost in the semifinals to Joshua Eagle and Andrew Florent. Sébastien Lareau and Daniel Nestor won in the final 6–3, 7–6(3), against Joshua Eagle and Andrew Florent.

The 1999 BMW Open was a men's tennis tournament played on Clay courts in Munich, Germany that was part of the World Series of the 1999 ATP Tour. It was the eighty-third edition of the tournament and was held from April 26 – May 3.

Arnaud Boetsch and Olivier Delaître were the defending champions, but lost in the semifinals this year.

Rennae Stubbs and Jared Palmer defeated 1993 champions Arantxa Sánchez Vicario and Todd Woodbridge in the final, 7–5, 7–6(7–3), to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2000 Australian Open. By winning the title, Stubbs won her second Grand Slam title, after she won her first in Women's Doubles earlier in the week, and Palmer won his first major Mixed Doubles title.
