The 1990 Cincinnati Open, was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 91st edition of the tournament and was part of the 1990 ATP Tour. It took place in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States from August 13 through August 20, 1990. Ken Flach and Robert Seguso were the defending champions, but lost in the second round to Sven Salumaa and Byron Talbot. Darren Cahill and Mark Kratzmann won in the final, 7–6, 6–2, against Neil Broad and Gary Muller.
The 1992 final featured two unheralded teams that defeated the number one and number two seeds in the draw respectively on their way to the final. John Fitzgerald and Anders Järryd, the defending champions and number one seeds, had featured in three of the past four finals, but lost in the second round to the unseeded duo of John McEnroe and Michael Stich. Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde, the number two seeds who would go on to win the championship the next five years in a row, were ousted here in the semi-finals by Jim Grabb and Richey Reneberg.
Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde successfully defended their title, defeating Grant Connell and Patrick Galbraith in a repeat of the previous year's final, 7–6(7–3), 6–3, 6–1 to win the Gentlemen's Doubles title at the 1994 Wimbledon Championships. This was the third Grand Slam title for The Woodies, their second Wimbledon title, and the duo's second of five straight.
