Post tennis career
Salumaa continued his education in 1998, and graduated summa cum laude with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from California State University, San Bernardino.
After retiring, Salumaa opened up a music recording studio in Bloomington, Indiana where he went to college at Indiana University before his professional tennis career. There he recorded local bands such as Hipmotize and the debut album of Big Bob's Farm.
In 2007, he worked with the New Hampshire theatre company, Shakespeare in the Valley along with Leila Birch, who played Teresa DiMarco in the BBC series, EastEnders. In 2008, he appeared in the West Coast premiere of Yank! A New Musical at Diversionary Theatre. Salumaa also appeared in the world premiere of the Patricia Loughrey and Rayme Sciaroni musical The Daddy Machine at Diversionary Theatre. In 2010, the musical Actions Most Ridiculous had a sold-out world premiere at the Coronado Playhouse where he was on the Board of Directors. Salumaa wrote all the music and lyrics, and co-wrote the book with Marianne Regan.
Salumaa has appeared in several short films, including Golden Hill, Duke's Day and B-Roll.
As of 2016, he lives in Madison, Wisconsin with his wife Anniessa and her two children, Talen and Noah. Sven teaches tennis at Cherokee Country Club and is also one of the assistant coaches for both the boys' and girls' tennis teams at La Follette High School.
Henri Leconte is a French former professional tennis player. He reached the men's singles final at the French Open in 1988, won the French Open men's doubles title in 1984, and helped France win the Davis Cup in 1991. Leconte's career-high singles ranking was world No. 5.
Jeffry Wayne is an American-British composer, musician and lyricist. In 1978, he released Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds, his musical adaptation of H. G. Wells' science-fiction novel The War of the Worlds. Wayne wrote approximately 3,000 advertising jingles in the 1970s which appeared on television in the United Kingdom, including a Gordon's Gin commercial which was covered by the Human League. Wayne also composed numerous television themes, including Good Morning Britain (TV-am), ITV's The Big Match and World of Sport, and the BBC's Sixty Minutes.
Jay Berger is an American former professional tennis player. He won three singles and one doubles title on the ATP Tour and reached his career-high singles ranking of World No. 7 in April 1990.
Brian Edward Gottfried is a retired American tennis player who won 25 singles titles and 54 doubles titles during his professional career. He was the runner-up in singles at the 1977 French Open, won the 1975 and 1977 French Open Doubles as well as the 1976 Wimbledon Doubles. He achieved a career-high singles ranking on the ATP tour on June 19, 1977, when he became world No. 3, and a career-high doubles ranking on December 12, 1976, when he became world No. 2.
Luke Jensen is an American former professional tennis player and Grand Slam doubles champion. Jensen won the 1993 French Open Doubles title with his younger brother Murphy Jensen.
Michael Craig Russell is an American former professional tennis player, and tennis coach. He reached a career-high singles ranking of World No. 60 in August 2007. His 23 United States Tennis Association (USTA) Pro Circuit singles titles were the all-time record, as of November 2013. That month he became the American No. 3.

He was a doubles specialist, and for a period of approximately six years was the No. 3 ranked American doubles player. His best result was reaching the 2014 Australian Open finals with partner Raven Klaasen. Their run to the final included a victory over the World No. 1 team of Bob and Mike Bryan.
Jamie Cerretani, is an American professional tennis player. A doubles specialist, he has won four ATP World Tour titles in his career. He reached his career-high doubles ranking of World No. 45 on July 21, 2008.
