With Manfred Schaefer back at the helm, the team achieved a notable third-place finish in the league, securing a spot in the final series for the first time in six years. Although their playoff run was ultimately halted by Adelaide City in the Elimination Final. The team also made a strong showing in the NSL Cup, advancing to the final before falling to Parramatta Eagles 2-0. [1]
