The Guia Circuit, or Circuito da Guia, is a 6.120 km (3.803 mi) street circuit located at the southeast region of the Macau Peninsula in Macau. It is the venue of the Macau Grand Prix and Guia Race of Macau. The circuit consists of long straights and tight corners, and features the characteristics of a typical street circuit - narrow, bumpy and limited overtaking opportunities. However, there are two special features that can rarely be found in other street circuits - variation in altitude and an ultra long main straight that allows top speed of 260 km/h (160 mph) on Formula Three cars. As a result, the circuit is recognised as one of the most challenging circuits in the world in terms of both driving and tuning, as cars have to maintain competitive speed to overcome hill-climbing, twisty corners and long straights in a single lap.

The race weekend also formed the final two rounds of the inaugural FIA Formula 3 International Trophy, which had been won prior to Macau by Formula 3 Euro Series champion Roberto Merhi. The 1995 Macau Grand Prix Formula Three was the 42nd Macau Grand Prix race to be held on the streets of Macau on 19 November 1995. It was the twelfth edition for Formula Three cars. Ralf Schumacher of WTS Racing, brother of 1990 winner Michael Schumacher, won the 15-lap race, which was shortened because of a fourteen-car accident at San Francisco Bend turn on the second leg's first lap that was caused by Norberto Fontana running wide and hitting the wall beside the track, sending him back into the path of other cars. Ralf Schumacher was the third German to win the race in the past three editions after Jörg Müller won the 1993 iteration and Sascha Maassen won the 1994 race. Jarno Trulli finished in second for KMS and TOM'S driver Pedro de la Rosa was third.

The 1998 Macau Grand Prix Formula Three was the 45th Macau Grand Prix race to be held on the streets of Macau on 22 November 1998. It was the fifteenth edition for Formula Three cars. Peter Dumbreck of the TOM'S team won the two-leg aggregate 30-lap race by three-thousands of a second over Paul Stewart Racing driver Ricardo Maurício, the closest margin of victory in the history of the Macau Grand Prix and one of the closest in motor racing history.

The race was divided into two 15-lap aggregate legs: the first was held in the morning and the second took place in the afternoon. The 2016 Macau Grand Prix was a Formula Three motor race held on 20 November 2016 at the Guia Circuit in Macau. The 2016 edition marked the first time the Grand Prix was formally called the FIA F3 World Cup. It was also the 63rd running of the event. The 15-lap race was won by Carlin driver António Félix da Costa after starting from pole position. Felix Rosenqvist finished second for Prema Powerteam and Félix da Costa's teammate Sérgio Sette Câmara came in third. Félix Da Costa had won the earlier ten-lap qualification race on Saturday with Callum Ilott second and Sette Cãmara third.

The 2020 Macau Grand Prix was a Formula 4 (F4) car race that took place on the streets of Macau on 22 November 2020. Because of strict Chinese quarantine regulations brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the race became an F4 event for the first time in 37 years and was part of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA)-administered China Formula 4 Championship. The event featured two races: an eight-lap qualifying race to set the grid for the twelve-lap main event. The 2020 Macau Grand Prix was the race's67th running the first for F4 cars, and the final meeting of the three-round 2020 China Formula 4 Championship.
