Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club, commonly known as Caley Thistle, is a professional football club based in Inverness, Scotland. The team currently competes in the Scottish Championship, the second tier of the Scottish Professional Football League, and hosts home games at Caledonian Stadium.
James Leighton is a Scottish former footballer, who played as a goalkeeper. Leighton started his career with Aberdeen, where he won seven domestic trophies and the 1982-83 European Cup Winners' Cup under the management of Alex Ferguson. Ferguson then signed Leighton for Manchester United in 1988, but dropped him after he conceded three goals in the 1990 FA Cup Final. Leighton then had spells with Arsenal, Reading, Dundee and Sheffield United, and rebuilt his career after joining Hibernian in 1993. He returned to Aberdeen in 1997, leading to a career total of over 600 appearances in the league alone.
Brora Rangers Football Club are a Scottish football club from the village of Brora, Sutherland, in the Highland council area of Scotland. They play in the Highland Football League, of which they have been champions three times, having won their first title in 2013–14 and successfully defended it in the 2014–15 season. They were awarded the title in the incomplete 2019–20 and 2020–21 seasons and are therefore the current title holders.

Elgin City Football Club is a Professional senior football club based in Elgin, Moray. They currently compete in the Scottish Professional Football League in Scottish League Two.
Colin Anderson Stein is a Scottish former footballer, who played for Hibernian, Rangers, Coventry City and Kilmarnock. Stein was part of the Rangers team that won the 1971–72 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, and he scored one of the goals in a 3–2 victory against Dinamo Moscow in the final. Stein also represented Scotland and the Scottish League XI. He scored nine goals in 21 appearances for Scotland, including four goals in a 1970 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Cyprus.
Duncan Nichol Shearer is a Scottish former footballer, currently coaching the 'Development squad' at Inverness Caledonian Thistle. During his playing career, Shearer predominantly played for Huddersfield Town, Swindon, Aberdeen and Inverness CT. He also captained the Scotland 'B' team and played seven times for the full Scotland national team.
John McKeand "Ian" McNeill was a Scottish professional footballer and manager. Playing at inside forward, McNeill started his career at Aberdeen, making his first team debut in January 1951. McNeill moved to England in 1956, and went on to play for Leicester City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Southend United. He returned to Scotland to join Ross County, then a Highland League club, initially as a player before taking over as manager the following season. He led the club to their first ever Highland League Championship in 1967.
Andrew Mark Smith is a retired Scottish footballer who played as a striker, and most recently was a temporary manager of Gretna with Mick Wadsworth.
Paul Alexander Coutts is a Scottish footballer who plays for League Two club Bristol Rovers. A product of the Scottish Highland Football League, Coutts' first senior professional club was his home town club, Cove Rangers who are located 4 miles south of Aberdeen. In 2008, Coutts transferred into the English Football League joining Peterborough United. He then moved to Preston North End in 2010 before joining Derby County in 2012. In January 2015, he signed for Sheffield United. He has represented the Scotland under-21 team.

Graeme Garry Shinnie is a Scottish professional footballer, who plays for Derby County as a left back or central midfielder. He has previously played for Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Forres Mechanics and Aberdeen. Shinnie made his first full international appearance for Scotland in May 2018.
