Andrea Pirlo is an Italian football manager and former professional player. Considered one of the greatest midfielders of all time, Pirlo was known for his vision, technique, creativity, passing, and free kick ability.

The 2008–09 Serie A was the 107th season of top-tier Italian football, the 77th in a round-robin tournament. It began on 30 August 2008 and ended on 31 May 2009, with the announcement of the list of fixtures made on 25 July 2008. 20 teams competed in the league, 17 of which returned from the previous season, and three were promoted from 2007–08 Serie B.

The 2008–09 Serie B season was the seventy-seventh since its establishment. A total of 22 teams will contest the league, 15 of which will be returning from the 2007–08 season, four of which will have been promoted from Serie C1, and three relegated from Serie A.

The 2002–03 season was the 103rd season in Società Sportiva Lazio's history and their 15th consecutive season in the top-flight of Italian football. Under new manager Roberto Mancini, Lazio finished 4th in Serie A and reached the semi-finals of both the Coppa Italia and the UEFA Cup.

The 2010–11 Serie A was the 109th season of top-tier Italian football, the 79th in a round-robin tournament, and the 1st since its organization under a league committee separate from Serie B. It began on 28 August 2010 and ended on 22 May 2011. Internazionale were the defending champions.

The 2003–04 season was Juventus Football Club's 106th in existence and 102nd consecutive season in the top flight of Italian football.

F.C. Internazionale Milano returned to the top echelon of the domestic scene, finishing second to city rivals A.C. Milan in the championship. The relatively narrow four-points margin between the two sides, was explained by Milan drawing several matches when it had already clinched the title, so the result was a lot closer than it was during the course of the season.

During 1994-95 season Football Club Internazionale Milano competed in Serie A, Coppa Italia and UEFA Cup.
