The 1997 Golden Golden Helmet (Polish : Turniej o Złoty Kask, ZK) organised by the Polish Motor Union (PZM) was the 1997 event for the league's leading riders. The final was held at Wrocław on the 3 October. Tomasz Gollob won his fourth Golden Helmet Championship. [7] [8]

The 1997 Team Speedway Polish Championship was the 1997 edition of the Team Polish Championship. [10] Polonia Bydgoszcz won the gold medal. [11] The team included the Gollob brothers, Piotr Protasiewicz and Henrik Gustafsson. [12]

Polonia Bydgoszcz is a Polish sports club based in Bydgoszcz most known for its speedway team ŻKS Polonia Bydgoszcz which currently races in the 1. Liga. The club has won the Polish Speedway League Championship seven times, the latest in 2002, and European Team Championship three times, the latest in 2001. The club also has a football team that plays in the lower leagues, though it was more successful in the past and played in the Polish top division, plus several other departments: athletics, cycling and boccia.

The Final was won by Tomasz Gollob, who beat Krzysztof Kasprzak and Janusz Kołodziej. It was eight title for Gollob.
The 2009 Golden Helmet is the 2009 version of Golden Helmet organized by the Polish Motor Union (PZM). The Finals took place on 30 April 2010 in Zielona Góra. The Golden Helmet was won by Janusz Kołodziej who beat Piotr Protasiewicz and Krzysztof Kasprzak. It was his second win. Kołodziej was also the 2010 Golden Helmet host on September.

The Championship was won by Janusz Kołodziej, who beat Krzysztof Kasprzak in the Run-off. Third was Rafał Dobrucki. Kołodziej, who won 2009, 2010 Golden Helmet and 2010 Speedway World Cup was award nomination to the 2011 Speedway Grand Prix. The defending Champion, Tomasz Gollob, who was a 2010 Speedway Grand Prix leader, resigned from the IMP Final.
