The 1997 Primera B season was the 46th completed season of the Primera B de Chile.

Primera B de Chile

Campeonato Primera B is the second tier in the Chilean football league system, and is organized by the Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional. It was established in 1952 as Segunda División, and later renamed in 1996 to the current name. Since 1954, automatic promotion to and relegation from Campeonato Nacional has been granted, although Palestino and Rangers were promoted to the top flight in the first season.

Santiago Wanderers association football chilean club

Club de Deportes Santiago Wanderers is a football club in Valparaíso, Chile, which plays in the Primera B de Chile, the second tier of the Chilean Football Federation, after being relegated from the Campeonato Nacional at the end of the 2017 Transición tournament. Their home ground, Estadio Elías Figueroa Brander, is in the north-east of the city. Wanderers have played their games there since 1931 after moving from Barrio Puerto.

2011 Torneo Apertura (Chile) sports season

The 2011 Torneo Apertura or LXXXVIII Campeonato Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de la Primera División de Chile was the 88th season of Chilean Primera División.

The 2009 Campeonato Nacional de Apertura Copa Banco Estado was the 85th season of top-tier football in Chile. The tournament champion was Universidad de Chile, so that earned their 13th league title after a five-year winless, after winning over Unión Española on points, in the finals, that allowed the automatically qualification of the university team to the 2010 Copa Libertadores Second Stage.

The Torneo Clausura began in July and will end in December.

The 2013 Campeonato Nacional Apertura began on 26 July and ended on 10 December. The tournament champion was O'Higgins which won its first Primera División de Chile title in 58 years’ history after beating Universidad Católica 1–0 in the final play-off played at the Estadio Nacional.

The 1999 Campeonato Nacional was Chilean first tier’s 67th season which Universidad de Chile reached its tenth professional title. The relegated teams were Rangers, Deportes La Serena, Deportes Iquique and Cobresal. The tournament was played in two stages, the 8 first places qualified to the Championship Stage, where they carry over their points from the previous stage, but divided by four. For the Relegation Stage the complete points were carried over.

The competition started on 8 July 2016 with the First Round and ended on 14 December 2016 with the Final. Colo-Colo were the winners after beating Everton 4–0 in the final, and qualified for the 2017 Copa Libertadores and the 2017 Supercopa de Chile. As the runners-up, Everton qualified for the 2017 Copa Sudamericana.
