The 2006 Primera B de Chile was the 56th completed season of the Primera B de Chile.

Deportes Melipilla was the tournament's champions. [1] [2] The other teams promoted were Ñublense (runner-up under Melipilla in the league's promotion playoffs) [3] and Lota Schwager following beat C.S.D. Rangers in the shootout during the 2006 Primera División de Chile relegation playoffs. That match had to Cristián Limenza as the best, who saved two penalty kicks to Juan Cisternas and Miguel Ayala in the shootout. [4] Nevertheless, on August 27th, 2006, Magallanes lost the category and was relegated to Tercera División de Chile after being defeated 2-0 by Deportivo Temuco. [5]

2006 Torneo Clausura (Chile)

The 2006 Campeonato Nacional Clausura Copa Banco del Estado was the 80th Chilean League top flight, in which Colo-Colo won its 25th league title after beating Audax Italiano in the finals.

The 2016–17 Primera B de Chile, known as the 2016–17 Campeonato Loto for sponsorship purposes, was the 63rd season of Chile's second-flight football. The competition began on July 31, 2016 and ended on April 30, 2017.

The 2017 Primera B de Chile, known as the 2017 Campeonato de Transición Loto for sponsorship purposes, was the 64th season of Chile's second-tier football league. The competition began on 29 July 2017.

The 2018 Copa Chile, was the 39th edition of the Copa Chile, the country's national football cup tournament. Santiago Wanderers were the defending champions, but lost to Palestino in the second round of the competition. Palestino went on to become champions after defeating Audax Italiano in the final by an aggregate score of 4–2.
