The 1997 Speedway Grand Prix of Denmark was the sixth and last race of the 1997 Speedway Grand Prix season. It took place on 23 September in the Speedway Center in Vojens, Denmark [1] [2] It was the third Danish SGP and was won by British rider Mark Loram. It was the first win of his career.
The Speedway Grand Prix Commission nominated Jesper B. Jensen from Denmark as Wild Card.

The 1996 Speedway Grand Prix was the 51st edition of the official World Championship to determine the world champion rider. It was the second season in the Speedway Grand Prix era and was used to determine the Speedway World Champion.

Jesper Bruun Monberg is a Danish speedway rider who has won the 2005 Individual European Championship, 1997 Under-21 Junior World Championship and 1997 Team World Championship titles. Previously known as Jesper B. Jensen, in March 2008 he changed his last name to that of his wife Rikke Monberg.
The Super Prix was an event introduced by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), and Speedway Grand Prix organisers, Benfield Sports International, to the 2008 Speedway Grand Prix series offering an additional prize fund of US$200,000 to the Grand Prix riders. Four Super Prix events were held at four rounds of the Grand Prix season, with the winner of each of the four events qualifying for the Super Prix Final. The Super Prix final was won by Polish rider Tomasz Gollob.
