The Oregon Ducks are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Oregon, located in Eugene. The Ducks compete at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level as a member of the Pac-12 Conference. With eighteen varsity teams, Oregon is best known for its American football team and track and field program, which has helped Eugene gain a reputation as "Track Town, USA". Oregon's main rivalries are with the Oregon State Beavers and the Washington Huskies.
Richard Llewellyn Brooks is a retired American football player and coach. He was the head coach at the University of Oregon from 1977 to 1994, the National Football League's St. Louis Rams from 1995 to 1996, and the University of Kentucky from 2003 to 2009.
Ernest Kent is an American college basketball coach. He is the former head men's basketball coach at Washington State University. Prior to Washington State, he served as the head men's basketball coach at the University of Oregon and at Saint Mary's (CA). Kent was previously an assistant at Stanford University and also coached abroad in Saudi Arabia. Kent was a college basketball commentator with the Pac-12 Network.
Christopher James Miller is an American football coach and former quarterback who was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the 1st round of the 1987 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Oregon.
The Oregon Ducks football program is a college football team for the University of Oregon, located in the U.S. state of Oregon. The team competes at the NCAA Division I level in the FBS and is a member of the Pac-12 Conference (Pac-12). Although now known as the Ducks, the team was commonly called the Webfoots until the mid-1960s. The program first fielded a football team in 1894. Oregon plays its home games at the 54,000 seat Autzen Stadium in Eugene. Its main rivals are the Oregon State Beavers and the Washington Huskies. The Ducks and Beavers historically end each regular season with their rivalry game in late November. The program has been one of the most successful programs since the 2010s. Oregon football has been known in recent years for its unique uniform style.
Robert Vann Williams is an American football coach who most recently served as the special teams coordinator and tight ends coach at the University of Oregon from 2018 to 2021. Williams served as the head coach at Michigan State University from 1999 to 2002.

The Oregon Ducks men's basketball team is an intercollegiate basketball program that competes in the NCAA Division I and is a member of the Pac-12 Conference, representing the University of Oregon. The Ducks play their home games at Matthew Knight Arena, which has a capacity of 12,364. Then coached by Howard Hobson, Oregon won the first NCAA men's basketball national championship in 1939. They again reached the Final Four in 2017 under head coach Dana Altman, marking the longest span between appearances in NCAA history. The Ducks have made the NCAA tournament 17 times, and have won eight conference championships.

The Ducks were led by sixth year head coach Mike Bellotti and participated as members of the Pacific-10 Conference. They played their home games at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon. Their roster on offense included quarterbacks Joey Harrington and A. J. Feeley, runningbacks Maurice Morris, Allan Amundson, Ryan Shaw, and Josh Line, receivers Marshaun Tucker, Sonny Cook, Cy Aleman, and tight ends Justin Peelle and Lacorey Collins.
Charles Edward Kelly is an American football coach who is the head coach of the UCLA Bruins. He came to prominence as the head coach of the Oregon Ducks from 2009 to 2012, whom he led to four consecutive BCS bowl game appearances, including the 2011 BCS National Championship Game. This success led to him serving as a head coach in the National Football League (NFL) for four seasons, three with the Philadelphia Eagles (2013–2015) and one with the San Francisco 49ers (2016). Kelly only made the playoffs in his first season with Philadelphia, and he was fired from both teams. After leaving the NFL, Kelly returned to college football in 2018 to coach UCLA.
The Oregon–Washington football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies of the Pac-12 Conference. The respective campuses in Eugene and Seattle are 285 miles (460 km) apart, via Interstate 5.
Willie Author Taggart is an American football college coach. He has held the head coach position at five NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision programs: Western Kentucky ; South Florida ; Oregon (2017); Florida State ; and Florida Atlantic. At all four schools, he was the first African-American to be hired as the head coach.
Mark August Helfrich is a former American football coach who is now an analyst for Fox Sports. He was the head coach for the University of Oregon from 2013 to 2016. He most recently served as the offensive coordinator of the Chicago Bears from 2018 to 2019. He played professionally in the Austrian Football League.
The 1999 Oregon State Beavers football team represented Oregon State University in the Pacific-10 Conference (Pac-10) during the 1999 NCAA Division I-A football season. In their first season under head coach Dennis Erickson, the Beavers compiled a 7–4 regular season record, their first winning season in 29 years. They opened with three non-conference wins, lost the first three conference games, then won four straight, but fell in the Civil War at Oregon.
The 1983 Oregon State vs. Oregon football game was a college football game played on November 19, 1983, at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon, the 87th playing of the annual Oregon–Oregon State football rivalry game, then known as the Civil War. The game ended in a scoreless tie, and since overtime was added to NCAA Division I games in 1996, this is likely to be the last such game. However, there have been two more scoreless ties in regulation since then, in 2005 and 2014.

The team was led by second-year head coach Mark Helfrich and played their home games at Autzen Stadium for the 48th straight year. They are a member of the Pac-12 Conference in the North Division.
The 1973 Oregon Webfoots football team represented the University of Oregon during the 1973 NCAA Division I football season. In his second and final year as head coach, Dick Enright led the Ducks to a 2–9 record (2–5 in Pac-8, tied for fifth)
Justin Patrick Herbert is an American football quarterback for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oregon, where he won the 2019 Pac-12 Championship and was named MVP of the 2020 Rose Bowl. He was selected by the Chargers sixth overall in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Johnny Johnson III is an American football wide receiver for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Oregon Ducks from 2017 to 2021. He concluded his college career with 139 receptions and 1,928 receiving yards. As a junior, he caught 57 passes for 836 yards and seven touchdowns for the 2019 Oregon Ducks football team that won the Pac-12 Conference championship and defeated Wisconsin in the 2020 Rose Bowl. As fifth-year senior in 2021, he tallied 25 receptions for 311 yards before an injury sustained against Washington State ended his season. On April 30, 2022, Johnson signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent.
