Lleyton Hewitt defeated David Nalbandian in the final, 6–1, 6–3, 6–2 to win the gentlemen's singles tennis title at the 2002 Wimbledon Championships. It was his second major title, after the 2001 US Open. Hewitt became the first Australian to win the title since Pat Cash in 1987.
