The United States' Serena Williams defeated Russia's Maria Sharapova in the final, 6–0, 6–1 to win the gold medal in Women's Singles tennis at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Both finalists were attempting to become the second woman to complete the career Golden Slam in singles. Williams won the gold without losing a set, without losing more than three games in any set, and without losing more than five games in any match. Her serve was broken only once during the tournament. She also became the first tennis player to complete the career Golden Slam in both singles and doubles. It was the United States' first victory in the event since Serena's sister Venus Williams won in 2000, and its fifth gold overall. In the bronze medal match, Belarus' Victoria Azarenka defeated Russia's Maria Kirilenko, 6–3, 6–4.

Kateryna Bondarenko was the defending champion, but was no longer eligible to compete in the juniors this year.

Serena Williams defeated Victoria Azarenka in the final, 6–2, 2–6, 7–5 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2012 US Open. Azarenka served for the championship and led 5–3 in the third set. It was the first time since 1995 that the final went to three sets. With the victory, Williams became only the third woman in history to win Wimbledon, the Olympics, and the US Open in the same season after Steffi Graf and her sister Venus Williams. Caty McNally American tennis player

Catherine "Caty" McNally is an American tennis player. She is best known for her doubles partnership with Coco Gauff, which is nicknamed "McCoco" by fans and media. She has won five doubles titles on the WTA Tour, three of them with Gauff, and the pair reached the final of the 2021 US Open. She also has won six doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. On 8 November 2021, she achieved her highest doubles ranking of world No. 16. In singles, McNally holds two titles on the ITF Circuit and reached the third round of the 2020 US Open. On September 9, 2019, she reached her best singles ranking of world No. 105.

Ashleigh Barty and CoCo Vandeweghe defeated Tímea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic in the final, 3–6, 7–6(7–2), 7–6(8–6) to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2018 US Open.

The 2005 French Open girls' singles tournament was an event during the 2005 French Open tennis tournament. Sesil Karatantcheva was the defending champion, but having elevated to the Women's Singles match this year.

Victoria Azarenka and Olga Govortsova were the defending champions, and decided not to play together. Govortsova competed with Alisa Kleybanova but lost in the semifinals to Azarenka and her partner Ágnes Szávay.

Marina Erakovic and Michaëlla Krajicek were the defending champions, but Michaëlla Krajicek did not compete in the juniors that year.

Elise Mertens and Aryna Sabalenka defeated Ashleigh Barty and Victoria Azarenka in the final, 7–5, 7–5, to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2019 US Open.
