Michael Karl Rutter nicknamed "The Blade", is a British motorcycle racer. He currently races in the National Superstock 1000 Championship aboard a BMW S1000RR. He has a reputation for being at his best in wet conditions and his favourite circuit is Oulton Park. He won 29 British Superbike Championship races with the most recent being at Silverstone in 2010, and finished as series runner-up twice. He has also contested MotoGP and World Superbike Championship events.

James Desmond Ellison is an English motorcycle racer. After two seasons on a Yamaha R1, Ellison expected to retire at the end of 2018, but in 2019 again competed in the British Superbike Championship series aboard a BMW S1000RR, before parting company with his team half-way through the season in August. He then joined another British Superbike team for the remainder of the 2019 season, starting from the September event at Oulton Park, on the ex-Danny Kent machine, previously an ex-Leon Camier 2016 MV Agusta F4.

The Bennetts 2007 British Superbike Championship season started on 7 April and ended on 14 October.

Ian Hutchinson is an English professional motorcycle road racer specialising in events held on closed public roads, such as the Isle of Man TT, the North West 200 and Ulster Grand Prix.

Billy McConnell is an Australian motorcycle racer. He is signed for the OMG Racing team to ride their BMW S1000RR in the British National Superstock 1000 Championship, completing the team with Superbike riders Luke Mossey and Héctor Barberá. McConnell missed races at the start of the 2019 season due to illness.

Alastair Seeley is a motorcycle road racer riding in Superstock 1000 class for Northern Ireland based Synetiq BMW.

Gary Mason is a British motorcycle road racer, born 4 May 1979 in Tamworth, Staffordshire. He is a former British Superbike Championship privateers cup champion. Mason has previously raced in the British Supersport Championship and the AMA supersport and superstock classes. He currently races a BMW S1000RR in the British National Superstock 1000 Championship.

The British Supersport Championship, National Superstock 1000 & 600 and the British Motostar Championship are the four main championship series that are run as support races alongside the British Superbike Championship. In 2012 the Motostar category replaced the defunct 125cc category that had been running since the start of the British Superbike Championship in 1988, Motostar was open to both 125 and 250 machines similar to Moto 3 machines. The Supersport racing started in 1989 and is a class comprising 600cc Motorcycles that are allowed racing modifications and custom tuning. It wasn't until 2000 that the Superstock 1000 category replaced the defunct 250cc category, with the Superstock 600 championship being the newest addition on the support series in 2008. In 2010 the Superstock 1000 and Superstock 600 categories also supported the British rounds of the Superbike World Championship and the Moto GP both at Silverstone.

Taylor Mackenzie is a former Grand Prix motorcycle racer based in Leicestershire, England. In late 2021, Mackenzie announced his intended retirement from racing at the end of the season. Shortly afterwards, it was announced that from the 2022 season, Mackenzie would be team manager for VisionTrack Honda Moto3, a new team in Moto3 headed by ex-racer Michael Laverty.

The 2015 British Superbike Championship season was the 28th British Superbike Championship season. It began at Donington Park on 6 April and ended at the Brands Hatch GP circuit on 18 October. Shane Byrne is the defending champion.

The 2016 British Superbike Championship season was the 29th British Superbike Championship season. It began at Silverstone on 8 April and ended at the Brands Hatch GP circuit on 16 October. Josh Brookes, and his team Milwaukee Yamaha, were the previous champions but neither defended their titles and instead competed in World Superbikes.

The 2017 British Superbike Championship season was the 30th British Superbike Championship season. It began at Donington on 31 March and ended at the Brands Hatch GP circuit on 15 October. Shane Byrne started the season as the defending Champion, having secured his fifth overall title in the British Superbike Championship.

The 2020 British Superbike Championship season was the 33rd British Superbike Championship season. Because of a late season start caused by the global pandemic, all races were run behind closed doors and the playoff was abolished.

The 2023 British Superbike Championship season is the 36th season of the motorcycle championship. Bradley Ray was the reigning champion, but chose to compete in the 2023 Superbike World Championship. The championship was won by Tommy Bridewell, winning the closest-ever BSB season, defeating teammate Glenn Irwin by just half a point.
