The 2006 Tennessee Lady Volunteers softball team was an American softball team, representing the University of Tennessee for the 2005 NCAA softball season. The team played their home games at Tyson Park. The team made it to the 2006 Women's College World Series. [1] The Lady Volunteers finished third for the 2nd straight year.

UT is joined in Big 12 rowing by one of its historic rivals in its all-sports league, the Southeastern Conference, in Alabama. Ivy Leigh Renfroe is an American softball player. Renfroe is the oldest of three softball playing sisters, all enrolled with Tennessee. Renfroe was a pitcher for the Tennessee Lady Volunteers from 2010 to 2013. Renfroe earned a Women's College World Series All-Tournament team honors in 2010. Renfroe also earned an All-SEC honor all four years of her career.

Ellen Ruth Reed née Renfroe is an American, former collegiate All-American, right-handed softball pitcher originally from Jackson, Tennessee.

Cheyanne Elizabeth Tarango is an American softball player. She attended Canyon High School in Anaheim Hills, California. She later attended the University of Tennessee, where she played both first base and pitcher for the Tennessee Volunteers softball team. During her college career, Tarango and the Tennessee softball team made three trips to the Women's College World Series in 2012, 2013, and 2015; finishing the 2013 season as the national runner-up after falling to Oklahoma, 2–0. Following her college career, Tarango served as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Louisville for the Louisville Cardinals softball team.

Madison Shipman is an American former professional softball player. She played college softball at Tennessee.
