The 2006–07 Toyota Racing Series was the third Toyota Racing Series season. It began on 4 November 2006 at Pukekohe Park Raceway in New Zealand and ended on 22 April 2007, also at Pukekohe.

Toyota Racing Series

The Toyota Racing Series is New Zealand's premier "open-wheeler" motorsport category. The Series includes races for every major trophy in New Zealand circuit racing including the New Zealand Motor Cup and the Denny Hulme Memorial Trophy. The cars are also the category for the New Zealand Grand Prix – one of only two races in the world with FIA approval to use the Grand Prix nomenclature outside Formula One.

Pukekohe Park Raceway motorsport track in New Zealand

Pukekohe Park is a horse racing, motor racing, and community events facility located in Pukekohe, New Zealand, approximately 40 kilometres (24.9 mi) south of the Auckland CBD, in the Auckland Region of the North Island. The venue, owned by Counties Racing Club Inc. is used seven days a week for horse training, driver training, motor sport events, cycling and various events and functions.

Michael Waltrip Racing former NASCAR team

Michael Waltrip Racing Holdings LLC, doing business as Michael Waltrip Racing ("MWR"), was an American professional stock car racing team that last competed full-time in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The company was as a 50–50 partnership between Robert Kauffman, the founder and managing partner of Fortress Investment Group, and two-time Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip, who first established the team in 1996 in the Busch Series. The team was the first full-time three-car team to field Toyota Camrys when Toyota entered the Sprint Cup racing fold in 2007, before being joined by Joe Gibbs Racing in 2008. MWR was also the last original Toyota team in the Sprint Cup Series to still be in operation, as Bill Davis Racing and Red Bull Racing Team have both ceased operations.

Team Red Bull (NASCAR team) company

Red Bull Racing Team, also known as Team Red Bull, was a NASCAR team owned by Red Bull founders Dietrich Mateschitz and Chaleo Yoovidhya. The team was based in Mooresville, North Carolina in the United States and was managed by Jay Frye. The team suspended operations on December 8, 2011 and their cars were sold to BK Racing.

It began on April 10, 2005 in Long Beach, California and ended on November 6 in Mexico City, Mexico after 13 races. The Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford Drivers' Champion was Sébastien Bourdais, his second consecutive championship. The Rookie of the Year was Timo Glock.

Shane van Gisbergen New Zealander racecar driver

Shane Wallace van Gisbergen is a New Zealand racing driver competing in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. He currently drives the No. 97 Holden ZB Commodore for Triple Eight Race Engineering.

Since its introduction to motorsport in the early 1970s, Toyota has been involved in a number of motorsport activities, most notably in Formula One, NASCAR, IndyCar, Champ Car, sports car racing and rallying. Currently, Toyota participates in Toyota Racing Series, Formula Nippon, Formula Three, NHRA, Grand Am, USAC, Super GT, NASCAR and the World Endurance Championship; although Toyota cars are still entered in rally competitions these are privateer entries and are not backed by the company themselves.

New Zealand Grand Prix annual motor racing event

The New Zealand Grand Prix, sometimes known as the New Zealand International Grand Prix, is an annual motor racing event held in New Zealand. First held in 1950, it is best known for hosting rounds of the Tasman Series in the 1960s and 1970s. It is currently run as the signature race of the Toyota Racing Series.

The Toyota Finance 86 Championship was a brand new One-make racing series in New Zealand, made up of race ready Toyota 86 cars. The series ran across six rounds throughout the New Zealand summer, after the seventh round – a scheduled three-hour endurance race at Pukekohe Park Raceway – was cancelled.

The 2014–2015 Toyota Finance 86 Championship was the second running of the Toyota Finance 86 Championship. The championship began on 27 September 2014 at Taupo Motorsport Park and ended on 1 March 2015 at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park after eighteen races held at six meetings.

The 2015–2016 Toyota Finance 86 Championship was the third running of the Toyota Finance 86 Championship. The championship began on 7 November 2015 at Pukekohe Park Raceway and finished on 27 March 2016 at Taupo Motorsport Park after eighteen races held at six meetings.

The 2016–2017 Toyota Finance 86 Championship is the fourth running of the Toyota Finance 86 Championship. The championship began on 4 November 2016 at Pukekohe Park Raceway and will conclude on 12 March 2016 at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park.

The 2017–2018 Toyota Finance 86 Championship is the fifth running of the Toyota Finance 86 Championship. The championship began on 4 November 2017 at Pukekohe Park Raceway and will conclude on 12 March 2018 at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park.

The 2018–2019 Toyota Finance 86 Championship is the sixth running of the Toyota Finance 86 Championship. The championship begann on 2 November 2018 at Pukekohe Park Raceway and will conclude on 10 March 2019 at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park.
