The 2007 European Weightlifting Championships were held in Strasbourg, France from 17 April to 22 April 2007. It was the 86th edition of the event, which was first staged in 1896.

Michaela Alica Breeze is a British former weightlifter. Breeze was born in Watford and raised in Cornwall and educated at Wadebridge School. She started weightlifting under the guidance of PE teacher Dave Allen. Breeze then went on to Bodmin Community College before attending the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. Lydia has won three Olympic Medals, two World Weightlifting Championships, as well as four European Weightlifting Championships.

Navab Nassirshalal is an Iranian retired weightlifter who won a gold medal in the men's 105 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He began weightlifting at the age of 15 and has also won a bronze medal in the 94 kg class snatch at the 2007 Asian Weightlifting Championships, silver in the 94 kg clean and jerk and bronze overall at the 2009 edition, and gold in the 105 kg category in 2012.

Dora Meiriama Tchakounté is a French weightlifter born in Yaoundé, Cameroon. She won the silver medal in the women's 59 kg event at the 2021 European Weightlifting Championships held in Moscow, Russia. At the time, she won the bronze medal but in October 2021, this became the silver medal after original gold medalist Boyanka Kostova of Azerbaijan was banned for testing positive for traces of stanozolol. She also represented France at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
