Bandung is the capital city of the West Java province of Indonesia. Located on the island of Java, Greater Bandung is the country's second-largest and second most populous metropolitan area, with over 11 million inhabitants. Situated 768 meters above sea level, approximately 140 kilometres southeast of Jakarta, Bandung has cooler year-round temperatures than most other Indonesian cities. The city lies in a river basin surrounded by volcanic mountains that provide a natural defense system, which was the primary reason for the Dutch East Indies government's plan to move the capital from Batavia to Bandung.
Noah are an Indonesian rock band formed as Peterpan in Bandung, West Java in 2000, which consisted of six members: Ariel, Andika, Indra, Lukman, Reza and Uki, with Andika as the leader. Raden Rara Nike Ratnadilla Kusnadi, better known as Nike Ardilla, was an Indonesian singer and actress of Sundanese descent. Usually referred to as the Lady Rocker and the Queen of Rock by the Indonesian media, Nike was instrumental in the return of teen pop rock to the country's music scene and had a dominant presence during the first half of the 1990s. At the height of her career and fame in 1995, she was involved in a traffic incident that took her life at the age of 19 years, 2 months & 20 days. Her death prompted an outpouring of nationwide grief. The media regularly refers to the fact that she is the only musician in the country whose death continues to be mourned even after more than 25 years, and hailed by many as one of the most successful figures in Indonesia's entertainment industry.
Burgerkill is an Indonesian heavy metal band, originally from Bandung, capital city of West Java. The band is named after the fast food restaurant Burger King as a prank. The band was founded in May 1995 by Aries Tanto a.k.a. Eben, sometimes called 'Ebenz', a young man from Jakarta, who came to Bandung to continue his study. In Bandung, Ebenz met Ivan Scumbag, Kimung and Dadan. This four personnel became the first line-up of Burgerkill. In 2013, the band won Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards for Metal as F*ck category.

On 1 October 2022, a fatal human crush occurred following an association football match at Kanjuruhan Stadium in Malang Regency, East Java, Indonesia. Following a loss by home side Arema to their rivals Persebaya Surabaya, around 3,000 Arema supporters invaded the pitch. Police said that the rioting supporters attacked the players and the team officials. The police attempted to protect the players and stop the riot, but the crowds clashed with security forces. In response, riot police units deployed tear gas, which triggered a stampede of people in the stadium trying to escape the gas. A crush formed at one exit, resulting in fans being asphyxiated.
Al Jabbar Grand Mosque is a mosque located in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Because it is surrounded by a reservoir, the mosque is sometimes referred to as the Al Jabbar Floating Mosque. The mosque is situated in the Gedebage district in eastern Bandung.

He began taking classical piano lessons at the age of six, then began writing songs and founding Krakatau with his bandmates Pra Budi Dharma and Donny Suhendra in high school. Taman Langit is the second re-recorded album by the Indonesian rock band Noah. It is a re-recording of their first album Taman Langit, which was released in 2003 when they were named Peterpan, and is the second album in Noah's project to re-record their songs from the Peterpan era. This album was released on December 17, 2021, via Musica Studio's on digital music portals and in CD format. To support the launch of the album, Noah made a music video for the album version of the song "Yang Terdalam" with the same concept, but different actors, as the video that Peterpan previously made for the song.
