Rohan Bopanna and Adam Feeney were the defending champions but Bopanna chose not to compete this year. Feeney instead partnered Andrew Coelho and lost in the quarterfinals to Prakash Amritraj and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi. [1]

Amritraj and Qureshi went on to win the title, defeating Jonathan Marray and Frederik Nielsen in the final, 6–3, 7–6(8–6). [2]

Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi is a Pakistani professional tennis player who specialises in doubles. He is the only Pakistani player ever to reach a Grand Slam final, having done so in both men's and mixed doubles at the 2010 US Open, alongside Rohan Bopanna and Květa Peschke respectively. Qureshi has also reached seven further major semifinals across the two disciplines. He reached his career-high doubles ranking of world No. 8 in June 2011, and has won 18 titles on the ATP Tour, including the 2011 Paris Masters and 2013 Miami Open, with Bopanna and Jean-Julien Rojer respectively. Qureshi has also qualified for the ATP Finals in doubles on three occasions.

Jonathan Marray is a former British tennis player and a Wimbledon Men's Doubles champion. Marray is a former top 20 doubles player, reaching a career high of world no. 15 in January 2013, mainly due to more regular appearances on the ATP World Tour, following his victory at Wimbledon 2012. He has also competed on the singles tour, reaching world no. 215 in April 2005, but was unable to continue his singles career, in part due to injuries.

Rohan Bopanna is an Indian professional tennis player. His singles career-high ranking was world No. 213 in 2007 and his career-high ranking in doubles was world No. 3 on 22 July 2013. He has been a member of the Indian Davis Cup team since 2002.

Frederik Løchte Nielsen is a former professional tennis player. He was the top ranked player from Denmark in the ATP doubles world rankings. A former Wimbledon men's doubles champion, he peaked at no. 17 in the rankings in April 2013. Nielsen has reached five other doubles finals on tour, winning on two occasions.

Adam Feeney and Robert Smeets were the defending champions. Feeney chose to not participate and Smeets played with Brydan Klein. They were eliminated by Prakash Amritraj and Dustin Brown in the first round.

Marcel Granollers and Marc López defeated Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna in the final, 7–5, 3–6, [10–3] to win the doubles tennis title at the 2012 ATP World Tour Finals.

Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor were the defending champions, but chose not to compete together. Mirnyi competed with Horia Tecău, but lost in the second round to Michaël Llodra and Nicolas Mahut, while Nestor competed with Robert Lindstedt, losing in the second round to Jonathan Dasnières de Veigy and Florent Serra.

The 2008 Shelbourne Irish Open was a men's tennis tournament played on outdoor carpet courts. It was the 3rd and final edition of the event, and part of the 2008 ATP Challenger Series of the 2008 ATP Tour. It took place at the tennis courts at the Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club in Dublin, Ireland, from 30 June through 5 July 2008.

Rohan Bopanna was the defending champion but chose not to compete this year.

Dominic Inglot and Franko Škugor were the defending champions, but Škugor chose to compete in Barcelona instead. Inglot played alongside Rohan Bopanna, but lost in the quarterfinals to Andre Begemann and Ernests Gulbis.

Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut defeated Lloyd Glasspool and Harri Heliövaara in the final, 4–6, 7–6(7–3), [12–10] to win the doubles tennis title at the 2022 Open Sud de France. They saved a championship point en route to their 21st career ATP Tour doubles title together. Glasspool and Heliövaara were contesting for their second title as a team.
