Stars in Their Eyes is a British television talent series, based on Joop van den Ende's Dutch format Soundmixshow. It featured a singing contest in which members of the public impersonate showbiz stars.
Simon Phillip Cowell is an English television personality, entrepreneur, and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition shows Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor UK, and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), as well as the American television talent competition shows American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor US (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Cowell founded the British entertainment company Syco in 2005, as well as its now-defunct predecessor, Syco Music in 2002.
Catherine Elizabeth Deeley is an English television presenter and actress. She began her career as a co-presenter of the ITV children's show SMTV Live (1998–2002), for which she won a BAFTA Children's Award, and its spin-off chart show CD:UK (1998–2005). In 2003, Deeley co-presented the talent competition show Fame Academy on BBC One and became the presenter of the ITV talent show Stars in Their Eyes.
Fremantle Australia Pty Ltd. is the Australian arm of global British production and entertainment company Fremantle. It was formed in 2006 by the merger of market leader Grundy Television and comedy specialists Crackerjack Productions, which had both been acquired previously by Fremantle.
Hayley Doreen Holt is a New Zealand television presenter and former snowboarder and ballroom dancer, who presents sports news on 1 News At 6pm. She co-presented TVNZ Breakfast from 2018 to 2020 alongside Jack Tame and later John Campbell, and earlier was notable for her appearances on several reality television series, as well as co-hosting a networked breakfast show on More FM from 2012 to 2013. She stood in the 2017 general election for the Green Party.
Greenstone TV is a New Zealand-based television production company who produce factual, entertainment, drama and documentary television programs. Productions have been made for TVNZ 1, TVNZ 2, Three and Prime in New Zealand, and the Seven Network in Australia.
Candy Michele Lane is a New Zealand dancer, choreographer and television presenter. She co-presented TVNZ's Dancing With The Stars with Jason Gunn, and also choreographed New Zealand's Got Talent, The Singing Bee, and Stars in Their Eyes. Most recently she was the Head Judge of the 2015 series of Dancing With the Stars. In August 2021, it was announced that she would feature in the 2021 Season of Celebrity Treasure Island 2021.
