Newshub is a New Zealand multi-platform news service that airs on TV channel Three, radio stations run by MediaWorks Radio, and on digital platforms. The Newshub brand replaced 3 News service on the TV3 network and the Radio Live news service heard on MediaWorks Radio stations on 1 February 2016. In late 2020, MediaWorks sold Newshub to US multimedia company Discovery, Inc.. The acquisition was completed on 1 December 2020.

Flight of the Conchords New Zealand musical comedy duo

Flight of the Conchords is a New Zealand comedy duo composed of musicians Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement. Beginning as a popular New Zealand live comedy act in the early 2000s, the duo's comedy and music became the basis of the self-titled BBC radio series (2004) and then the HBO American television series (2007–2009).

South Pacific Pictures is a New Zealand television production company. The company produces drama series, mini-series, telemovies and feature films for the domestic market and international market. SPP's largest property is Shortland Street the half-hour soap opera for TVNZ 2. In 2006, the company released Sione's Wedding and in 2002, the Oscar-nominated feature film Whale Rider. In 1998 the company produced the feature film, What Becomes of the Broken Hearted?, the sequel to Once Were Warriors.

Leigh Hart is a New Zealand comedian, radio announcer and performance artist who is also known as "That Guy". He has made various appearances on New Zealand television, including SportsCafe and his own show, Moon TV.

Country Calendar is a New Zealand documentary television series focusing on rural life in New Zealand. It has been aired on TVNZ 1 since March 1966, making it New Zealand's longest-running television series. Since 2013 the show aired for a season of 30 weeks per year, however as of 2016 it is being broadcast for 40 weeks a year. Episodes from the 2013 season to present are available to watch online, through TVNZ OnDemand.

Taika Waititi New Zealand filmmaker, actor, and comedian

Taika David Cohen, known professionally as Taika Waititi, is a New Zealand filmmaker, actor, and comedian. He is a recipient of an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, and a Grammy Award, and has received two nominations at the Primetime Emmy Awards. His feature films Boy (2010) and Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016) have each been the top-grossing New Zealand film.

Rose McIver New Zealand actress

Frances Rose McIver is a New Zealand actress. She starred as Olivia "Liv" Moore in The CW supernatural comedy-drama series iZombie (2015–2019) and played Summer Landsdown the Yellow Ranger in Power Rangers RPM (2009). She also played the role of Amber Moore in the romantic comedy films A Christmas Prince (2017), A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding (2018), and A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby (2019).

New Zealand film and television awards have gone by many different names and have been organised by different industry groups. As of 2017, New Zealand has relaunched a standalone New Zealand Television Awards after a five-year hiatus. The film awards continue to be sporadically awarded as the Rialto Channel New Zealand Film Awards (Moas).

Jared Turner is a New Zealand-born Australian actor, best known for his roles as Ben Maddox in Go Girls and as Ty Johnson on the television series, The Almighty Johnsons. He is also recognised on New Zealand TV screens for hosting the energy saving adverts, "Energy Spot".

Marj Brasch

Marjorie "Marj" Brasch is a fictional character on the New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street. Being part of the original cast, she was portrayed by Elizabeth McRae from the show's first season in 1992 up until 1996. She returned as a guest character in 1998, 2002, as part of the show's 20th anniversary in May 2012 and again for the show's 25th anniversary in 2017.

Roimata Ngatai

Roimata Ngatai is a fictional character on the New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street, who was portrayed by Shavaughn Ruakere from January 2011 to January 2014. Initially introduced as a 3-month love interest for TK Samuels, Ruakere's contract was extended to a regular role.

Choice TV is a privately owned, national free-to-air television channel in New Zealand and has been on air since 2012. The channel features programs on topics such as: property renovation, home and garden, food, travel, adventure, fishing, entertainment, comedy, and drama. The channel and its sister network HGTV New Zealand were acquired by Discovery, Inc. in 2019.
