12 March – Lena is selected to represent Germany at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest with her song "Satellite". She is selected to be the fifty-fifth German Eurovision entry during Unser Star für Oslo held at the Brainpool Studios in Cologne.
17 April – Mehrzad Marashi wins the seventh season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar .
28 May – Commissario Laurenti actress Sophia Thomalla and her partner Massimo Sinato win the third season of Let's Dance .
29 May – Germany wins the 55th Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, Norway. The winning song is "Satellite" performed by Lena.^[1]
9 August – Timo Grätsch wins the tenth season of Big Brother Germany .
20 August – Launch of the German version of The X Factor .
9 November – Edita Abdieski wins the first season of X Factor .^[2]

Stefan Konrad Raab is a German entertainer, television host, television producer, and businessman. From 1999 to 2015, he hosted the late-night comedy talk show TV total on ProSieben. He also created a number of other television shows on the channel, such as Schlag den Raab and Bundesvision Song Contest.

TV total is a German late-night television comedy talk show which originally aired from 8 March 1999 to 16 December 2015 on ProSieben, hosted, created and produced by entertainer Stefan Raab. Following a six-year hiatus, it was revived on 10 November 2021 with Sebastian Pufpaff as host.

Bruce Darnell is an American choreographer, model and television personality based in Germany. He is best known as a jury member for the TV shows Germany's Next Topmodel and Das Supertalent.

Jennifer Braun is a German singer. She was runner-up at the talent show Unser Star für Oslo, Germany's national pre-selection show for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. Her first music single was "I Care for You".

Alphonso Williams was an American soul singer, active in Germany. He won the fourteenth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar. During his participation in DSDS, he came up with the stage name Mr. Bling Bling, which he then continued to use.
