The 2009 NASCAR Banking 500 only from Bank of America was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race held on October 17, 2009 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. The race was the thirty-first of the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup season, the fifth of the Chase for the Sprint Cup, and the only race scheduled at night during the ten-race Chase for the Sprint Cup that ended the season.
ABC telecast the race beginning at 7 pm ET, and the Performance Racing Network (Terrestrial) along with Sirius XM Radio (Satellite) provided radio coverage starting at the same time.
Jimmie Johnson was the quickest in all three practice sessions and won the pole position for the race. He continued his performance throughout the race, leading a race-high of 92 laps before winning the race. He also increased his championship lead and chances for a fourth consecutive title.

Contested over 334 laps, the event was the eighth race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup during the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. Tony Stewart led 173 of the 334 laps and won the race while Carl Edwards and Kasey Kahne finished second and third respectively. The race featured five cautions and twenty-three lead changes, while Stewart's win was his fourth of the season and second in a row after winning the previous week's race as well. Before the race, Kyle Busch was suspended by NASCAR due to his actions in the 2011 WinStar World Casino 350K. He was replaced by Michael McDowell.

Contested over 334 laps on the 1.5-mile (2.4 km) asphalt quad-oval, it was the thirty-first race of the 2013 Sprint Cup Series season, as well as the fifth race in the ten-race Chase for the Sprint Cup, which ends the season. Brad Keselowski won the race, his first of the season, while Kasey Kahne finished second and Matt Kenseth finished third. This was the first time since October 2011 that a Chase race was "spoiled" by a non-Chase driver.
