Montague, Prince Edward Island Place in Prince Edward Island, Canada

Montague is a former town located within the town of Three Rivers in Kings County, Prince Edward Island, Canada. It amalgamated with the town of Georgetown, the rural municipalities of Brudenell, Cardigan, Lorne Valley, Lower Montague, and Valleyfield, and portions of three adjacent unincorporated areas in 2018.

2006 Tim Hortons Brier

The 2006 Tim Hortons Brier, the Canadian men's national curling championship, was held from March 11 to 19 at the Brandt Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan. 2010 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship

The 2010 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship was held Nov. 14-21, 2009 at the Burlington Golf and Country Club in Burlington, Ontario. Nova Scotia won its seventh Mixed title, and skip Mark Dacey won his second title with then-wife, Heather Smith-Dacey as his mate who won her third. The team's front end of Andrew Gibson and Jill Mouzar won their first mixed title.

The 2010 Prince Edward Island Scotties Tournament of Hearts was held Jan. 2–5 in at the Montague Curling Club in Montague, Prince Edward Island. The winning team will represent Prince Edward Island at the 2010 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Erin Carmody is a Canadian curler, originally from Prince Edward Island but residing in Halifax, Nova Scotia as of 2019. A native of the city of Summerside, Carmody was a biology student at the University of Prince Edward Island when she broke onto the curling scene by winning three consecutive provincial junior championships, twice with an undefeated record. She entered the national scene in 2010 after forming a rink with longtime teammate Geri-Lynn Ramsay and veteran curlers Kathy O'Rourke and Trisha Affleck that captured the 2010 provincial championships at the senior level. At the 2010 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the squad made it all the way to the final, but lost in the last match to three-time tournament champion Jennifer Jones. After the event, Carmody was presented with the Sandra Schmirler Most Valuable Player Award.

The 2003 Prince Edward Island Scott Tournament of Hearts, a women's curling event, was held January 17–20, at the Montague Curling Club in Montague, Prince Edward Island. The winning team was Team Suzanne Gaudet who represented Prince Edward Island, finished with a 10-1 round-robin record and finished 3rd overall in the page playoff at the 2003 Scott Tournament of Hearts in Kitchener, Ontario.

The 1961 Dominion Diamond "D" Championship was the very first Canadian women's curling championship. It was held at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club February 27 to March 3. The format was a round robin, and a playoff was held to determine 2nd place due to a three-way tie. Joyce McKee and her rink from Saskatoon, who were the unofficial national ladies' champion from 1960, won her first of five national championships, by posting an undefeated 9-0 record.

2012 Canadian Junior Curling Championships

The 2012 M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships were held from February 4 to 12 at the Strathcona Paper Centre and the Napanee & District Curling Club in Napanee, Ontario. The winners, the Albertan teams skipped by Brendan Bottcher and Jocelyn Peterman, represented Canada at the 2012 World Junior Curling Championships in Östersund, Sweden.

The 2013 PEI Tankard, the Prince Edward Island men's curling championship, was held from February 6 to 12 at the Crapaud Community Curling Club in Crapaud, Prince Edward Island. The winner of the Tankard, Team Eddie MacKenzie represented Prince Edward Island at the 2013 Tim Hortons Brier in Edmonton, Alberta.

The 2014 PEI Tankard, the provincial men's curling championship for Prince Edward Island, was held from February 5 to 9 at the Montague Curling Rink in Montague, Prince Edward Island. The winning Eddie MacKenzie rink from Charlottetown represented Prince Edward Island at the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier in Kamloops.

The 2016 Prince Edward Island Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the provincial women's curling championship of Prince Edward Island, was held from January 15 to 18 at the Montague Curling Club in Montague, Prince Edward Island. The winning Suzanne Birt rink represented Prince Edward Island at the 2016 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Curl PEI

Curl PEI, formerly known as Prince Edward Island Curling Association, is the regional governing body for the sport of curling in Prince Edward Island. As one of 14 regional associations within Curling Canada, the organization runs the provincial championships that determine who represents the province in the national championships.

The 2020 PEI Scotties Tournament of Hearts Women's Championship, the women's provincial curling championship for Prince Edward Island, was held from January 8 to 12 at the Montague Curling Rink in Montague, Prince Edward Island. The winning Suzanne Birt rink represented Prince Edward Island at the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and finished with a 5–6 record. The event was held in conjunction with the 2020 PEI Tankard, the provincial men's championship.
