The 2009–10 NBB Cup was the 42nd season of the Dutch NBB Cup. The season began on 9 October 2009 and finished with the final, which was played on 24 March 2010 in the Topsportcentrum in Almere. [1]
ZZ Leiden won the final from ABC Amsterdam, winning its second national cup title. [2] Danny Gibson was the top scorer in the final with 20 points. Leiden head coach Toon van Helfteren won his first NBB Cup title as a coach.

Geert Hendrik Hammink is a Dutch former basketball player and current coach. His last position was as head coach of the Skyliners Frankfurt of the German Basketball Bundesliga. He was selected by the Orlando Magic in the first round of the 1993 NBA draft. Hammink played for the Magic and had a small stint with the Golden State Warriors in 3 NBA seasons. In his NBA career, Hammink appeared in 8 games and scored a total of 14 points. He played college basketball at Louisiana State University (LSU).
