The 2010 Baden Masters was held September 10-12 in Baden, Switzerland. It was the first event of the Men's World Curling Tour for the 2010-11 curling season. The total purse of the event was 26,500 Swiss francs (CHF). The winning team was the hometown Thomas Lips rink which defeated the new Brad Gushue/Randy Ferbey combination team in the final. Lips' team would win 10,000 CHF. In the bronze medal game, Norway's Thomas Ulsrud defeated Sweden's Niklas Edin. [1] [2]

Bradley Raymond Gushue, ONL is a Canadian curler from St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Gushue, along with teammates Russ Howard, Mark Nichols, Jamie Korab and Mike Adam, represented Canada in curling at the 2006 Winter Olympics, where they won the gold medal by defeating Finland 10–4. He also represented Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics, where he won a bronze medal. In addition to the Olympics, Gushue won the 2017 World Men's Curling Championship with teammates Mark Nichols, Brett Gallant, and Geoff Walker. He is a record five-time Brier champion skip, having won in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2023 all with Nichols, Gallant and Walker, except for 2023 with E. J. Harnden replacing Gallant. Mark Nichols, ONL is a Canadian curler from St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. He currently plays third for the Brad Gushue rink. Nichols is a former Olympic champion curler, having played third for Team Canada at the 2006 Winter Olympics, where the team won a gold medal. He also won a World Championship with Gushue in 2017.

Thomas Ulsrud was a Norwegian curler from Oslo. He won a silver medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics, one World Curling Championship, two European Curling Championships, and fourteen Norwegian titles. He was also known for being the skip of the team that competed while wearing colourful harlequin trousers at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. Team Ulsrud's combined showmanship and sportsmanship became iconic and contributed to reviving worldwide interest in curling since then.

Johan Niklas Edin is a Swedish curler. He currently resides in Karlstad, which has been his curling home base since 2008. He holds several sport distinctions. He is the first and the only skip in World Curling Federation (WCF) history to win three Olympic medals – gold (2022), silver (2018), and bronze (2014) – and to skip men's curling teams to six World Men's Curling Championship medals. He is also a seven-time European Curling Championship titleholder and won three silver medals in those championships. He is currently tied with Oskar Eriksson in first place on the WCF-recognized list of championship medals, with thirty-eight in total. He reached the playoffs in forty-five Grand Slam of Curling events and won the Pinty's Cup with his current teammates, Oskar Eriksson, Rasmus Wranå, and Christopher Sundgren. With the same lineup in 2022, Edin and his teammates also became the first and only men's curling team to win a fourth consecutive World Men's Curling Championship. Edin has played exclusively in the position of skip since 2007. The team bearing his name has been ranked on the World Curling Tour as high as No. 1, including for most of the 2017–18 season. As of the end of the 2021–22 Curling Season, Team Edin was ranked in the top three teams in the world.

Thomas Lips is a Swiss curler from Buchs, Zürich. Lips was a member of the Swiss team that won the 2006 European Curling Championships.

The 2009 Baden Masters was the fifth time the Baden Masters curling event was held. It was held from September 11–13, 2009 and was the first even of the 2009-10 World Curling Tour season. Canada's Brad Gushue rink defeated Norway's Thomas Ulsrud rink in the final 6–3.

Geoff Walker is a Canadian curler, currently living in Edmonton, Alberta. He currently plays lead for the Brad Gushue rink. He was the Men's World Champion in 2017 and won silver the following year in 2018. A five-time national champion, he won the Brier in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2023. Walker was a two-time World Junior Champion when he won gold in 2006 and 2007.

The 2013 Baden Masters were held from August 30 to September 1 at the Curling Center Baden Regio in Baden, Switzerland. The event was held in a round robin format, and the purse for the event was CHF 32,500, of which the winner, Brad Gushue, received CHF 11,000. Gushue defeated Thomas Ulsrud with a score of 4–3 in the final in an extra end to win his third Baden Masters title.

The 2014 Baden Masters were held from August 29 to 31 at the Curling Center Baden Regio in Baden, Switzerland as part of the 2014–15 World Curling Tour and the European Curling Champions Tour. The event was the first tournament of the season for both tours. The event was held in a round robin format, and the purse for the event was CHF 32,500, of which the winner, Thomas Ulsrud, received CHF 13,030. Ulsrud and his team from Norway defeated the Peter de Cruz rink from Geneva in the final with a score of 6–5. It was the second time the Ulrsud rink won the event.

The 2018 Princess Auto Elite 10 was held from September 26 to 30 at St. Clair Campus Arena in Chatham, Ontario. It was the first Grand Slam of Curling event held in the 2018-19 curling season, and the first time the Elite 10 had a women's division. It was also the last time the event was held, as it was removed from the Grand Slam lineup for the 2019-20 curling season.

The 2018 Canadian Beef Masters was held from October 23 to 28, at the Rath Eastlink Arena in Truro, Nova Scotia. This was the second Grand Slam and first major of the 2018–19 curling season.

The 2022 World Men's Curling Championship was held from April 2 to April 10 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, United States. Team Sweden, skipped by Niklas Edin, was the defending championship team. The 2022 WMCC trialed the no-tick rule for the first time at a men's tournament at this level.
