The 2010 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe was a horse race held at Longchamp on Sunday 3 October 2010. [1] It was the 89th running of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

Contents

The winner was Workforce, a three-year-old colt trained in Great Britain by Sir Michael Stoute. The winning jockey was Ryan Moore. [2]

Workforce had previously won the Epsom Derby, but had finished only fifth in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. The decision to run in the "Arc" had not been confirmed until three days before the race.

Nathaniel is an Irish-bred British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. Nathaniel failed to win in two races as a two-year-old but attracted attention by running Frankel to half a length at Newmarket. At three he recorded his first major win in the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot and then won Britain's most prestigious all-aged race, the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes over the same course and distance. He was the dominant three-year-old of his generation in Europe in the spring and summer of 1961, winning the Poule d'Essai des Poulains, Prix du Jockey Club and the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. Right Royal was defeated in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and was retired to stud where he had some success as a breeding stallion.

The 2016 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe was a horse race held at Chantilly on Sunday 2 October 2016. The race could not take place at its usual venue at Longchamp Racecourse as that course was closed in 2016 for major redevelopment. It was the 95th running of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. The race was won by Michael Tabor, Derrick Smith & Sue Magnier's four-year-old filly Found, trained in Ireland by Aidan O'Brien and ridden by Ryan Moore. Moore had previously won the race on Workforce whilst O'Brien was also recording his second success, having trained Dylan Thomas.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Torquator Tasso</span> German racehorse

Torquator Tasso is a German Thoroughbred racehorse. He was named German Horse of the Year for three consecutive years starting in 2020 when he won the Grosser Preis von Berlin and was placed in the Deutsches Derby, Grosser Preis von Baden and Grosser Preis von Bayern. In the following year he won the Hansa-Preis and the Grosser Preis von Baden before recording an upset victory in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. A year later he came in third in the same race, cementing his status as one of the best German racehorses in recent history.
